Donna C. Marshall, 80, of DuBois went home to be with her Lord on Sunday, Sept. 13, 2015, surrounded by her loving family.
Born Jan. 16, 1935 in Grampian, she was the daughter of the late Harold “Tip” and Arlene (Wrigglesworth) Chelgren.
On July 29, 1956, she married Bill B. Marshall. He survives.
She worked for Hughes-Starr Motors in DuBois for more than 20 years. Prior to that, she had worked for Bell Telephone.
She was a member of First United Methodist Church, where she sang in the Church Chancel Choir. She was also a member of the Order of Eastern Star.
She enjoyed her monthly card club and golfing. She loved her cat, Dora, and working with her flowers. Most of all, she loved spending time with her family.
She is survived by three daughters, Tammy Harris and her husband, Joel of Falls Creek, Brenda Marshall of State College and Valerie Marshall of Brockway; three sisters, Norma Alexiff of Raleigh, NC and Carole Dotts and Janet Kupko, both of DuBois; a brother, Harold “Whitey” Chelgren and his wife, Phyllis of Phoenix, Ariz.; nine grandchildren; and six great-granddaughters.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Jill Spinda.
Friends will be received from 2 p.m. – 4 p.m. and from 6 p.m. – 8 p.m. Wednesday at the Goble-Baronick Funeral Home.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, at the First United Methodist Church with Pastor Lance Tucker officiating.
Burial will be in St. Luke’s United Church of Christ Cemetery.
