CLEARFIELD – The fifth annual Clearfield Pumpkin Run/Walk 5K and Fall Festival will return to downtown Clearfield on Oct. 10 thanks to the Clearfield Revitalization Corp. (CRC).
The day will kick off with the Pumpkin Run/Walk 5K through the streets of Clearfield. Participants can register by Oct. 2 to be guaranteed a race shirt. Day-of registration will be held from 7 a.m. – 8 a.m., and the race will start at 8:30 a.m. Visit www.discoverclearfield.com for more information.
After the Pumpkin Run/Walk, the Fall Festival will be held from 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. This admission-free, “family-friendly” event will be held on Market, Locust and Third streets and will feature “something for everyone.”
In addition, the second-ever car/truck/motorcycle show will benefit the Wounded Warrior Project. It will take place in and around the Third Street parking lot with registration from 10 a.m. – 12 p.m.
Festival-goers can enjoy food while meeting and mingling with more than 100 talented artisans, as they display and sell work ranging from ceramics, fiber, wood, leather and metalwork to jewelry, glass, photography and mixed-media art pieces. Many downtown businesses will also be open to showcase fall sales.
There will be plenty of live entertainment on the Lezzer Lumber stage. Also, there will be Guiternia student musicians in front of the Clearfield County Courthouse.
Kids will be able to “Chalk-Up Clearfield” by designing their own square on the sidewalk sponsored by Historica Plus Antiques. Clearfield Fire and Safety will show off their fire trucks to the kids.
There will also be lots of games, face painting, balloon artist and fall activities for kids all day throughout the festival.
Kids can submit their carved pumpkin at the CRC booth for the Pumpkin Carving Contest for participants who are 3-12 years of age. Submitted pumpkins will be on display and can be voted on throughout the day.
In addition, attendees will be able to try out the Pennsylvania DUI Simulator and explore the Daughter of Darkness Vietnam War truck.
