Mary M. Lepionka, 92, of DuBois died Wednesday, Sept. 9, 2015 at Christ the King Manor.
Born Feb. 28, 1923, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Karoline (Kruk) Polohonki.
She graduated from the DuBois High School in 1941.
In 1950, she married Stanley A. Lepionka. He preceded her in death in May of 1972.
She worked as a staff accountant for 38 years at various accounting firms in DuBois, retiring from Mauthe, Yutzey & Gabler.
She was a member of the St. Michael the Archangel Roman Catholic Church, where she was a member of the Rosary Infant of Prague Society.
She also belonged to the Christ the King Manor Auxiliary. Her past activities include belonging to the Polish Folk Singers, the St. Michael’s Senior Choir and the Pulaski Ladies Auxiliary.
She was also a notary public for more than 30 years. She enjoyed traveling, playing bingo and going to the casino.
She is survived by her children, Denise McMillen and her husband, Donald of DuBois; Kevin Lepionka and his wife, Eileen of Gahanna, Ohio; and Ronald Lepionka and his wife, Therese of Atlanta, Ga.
She is also survived by a sister, Josephine Zbieg of DuBois; three grandchildren Kristen, Stephanie and Samantha; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her brother, Myron Polohonki and two sisters, Olga Pastwa and Helen Cheslock.
Friends will be received from 2 p.m. – 5 p.m. Sunday at the Goble-Baronick Funeral Home.
The rosary will be prayed at 1:15 p.m. Sunday to be followed immediately by a scriptural wake service.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Monday at the St. Michael the Archangel Roman Catholic Church with Msgr. Charles Kaza as celebrant.
Burial will be in St. Michael’s Cemetery.
