State police at Clearfield

• An accident occurred Sunday on Interstate 80 westbound in Graham Township. Further, a vehicle exited the left side of the roadway and traveled up an embankment before coming to a rest on the berm. The operator was wearing their seatbelt, state police said.
• A hit-and-run accident occurred Saturday on East Hepburnia Road in Penn Township. While approaching the Mahaffey – Grampian Highway, the vehicle exited the southern side and impacted a porcelain sink, breaking it. The vehicle continued traveling off of the roadway and impacted a traffic sign, knocking it over; it continued traveling and impacted a ditch at the 12 o’clock position. At that point, the vehicle proceeded to travel east in reverse and re-entered the roadway. The vehicle then fled the scene, state police said. • An accident occurred Sunday on Interstate 80 westbound in Lawrence Township. Further, a freightliner was in the left-hand lane traveling west. It merged into the right-hand lane and made contact with a vehicle, causing minor damage. All occupants in both vehicles were wearing their seatbelts, and no injuries were reported, state police said.
• An accident occurred Friday on Rose Street in Irvona Borough. Further, an Irvona teen was negotiating a left-hand curve when he lost control of his vehicle. It subsequently exited off the southbound lane and impacted another vehicle. The impact caused that vehicle to be pushed backward into another vehicle and a utility pole.
• On Saturday several juveniles allegedly threw tomatoes at passing vehicles along Route 322 in Mineral Springs, Bradford Township.
• An incident of criminal mischief occurred sometime Friday or Saturday on Gray Hollow Road in Morris Township. During the incident, someone allegedly damaged the victim’s posted signs on their property. Anyone with information is asked to contact the state police at Clearfield at 814-857-3800.
• An incident of criminal mischief occurred Saturday on Martin Road in Houtzdale. During the incident, someone allegedly damaged the victim’s ’mailbox at the end of her driveway by breaking its flag off. Anyone with information is asked to contact the state police at Clearfield at 814-857-3800.
• An incident of criminal mischief occurred Aug. 17 on Walnut Street in Smithmill. During the incident, someone allegedly cut a garden hose and attempted to use it to siphon home heating fuel from an outdoor fuel tank at a residence. • An incident of criminal mischief occurred sometime between Sept. 2 and Monday on Gillingham Road in Girard Township. During the incident, someone allegedly damaged the ignition on the victim’s Harley Davidson motorcycle. Anyone with information is asked to contact the state police at Clearfield at 814-857-3800.
• An incident of burglary occurred Monday on Lamb Drive in Morris Township. During the incident, three people allegedly made forced entry into the victim’s residence, located two video games and fled the scene. The total value of the stolen video games is $70, and the incident remains under investigation at this time, state police said.
• An incident of theft/access device fraud occurred Aug. 17 on Baxter Drive in Brisbin. During the incident, two known individuals allegedly removed a debit card from the victim’s mail and used it to make several purchases at convenience stores in the Brisbin area. The incident remains under investigation at this time, state police said.
• An incident of forgery occurred sometime between Feb. 17, 2012 and June 10, 2012 on Union Street in Coalport. During the incident, a known individual allegedly removed several checks from the victim’s purse, filled them out to herself and cashed them. The incident remains under investigation at this time, state police said.

State police at DuBois

• An incident of DUI occurred Saturday on Route 119 near Save-A-Lot in Sandy Township. During the incident, a known DuBois man was allegedly stopped for vehicle code violations and determined to be under the influence of alcohol. He was subsequently placed under arrest for suspected DUI, and charges are currently pending lab analysis, state police said.
• An incident of DUI occurred Friday on Interstate 80 in Pine Creek Township. During a traffic stop, Derek M. Bowser, 26, of DuBois was allegedly found to be under the influence of a controlled substance. He was placed under arrest for DUI, and charges are pending blood test results. State police also determined that Bowser was wanted by Pennsylvania State Probation and Parole and the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office.
• An incident of DUI occurred Friday on I-80 westbound in Union Township. Further, a Clearfield male was allegedly stopped for a traffic violation and placed under arrest for suspected DUI. Charges are currently pending the results of chemical testing, state police said.
• An incident of disorderly conduct occurred Friday on Main Street in Falls Creek Borough. During the incident, a male and female allegedly engaged in a verbal argument. Both were cited for the incident through the district court, state police said.
• An incident of unlawful restraint/simple assault occurred Sunday on Sykes Street Extension in Winslow Township. During the incident, a male and the victim allegedly engaged in a verbal argument that turned physical. He allegedly struck the victim numerous times in the face, as well as forced her up a set of stairs while covering her mouth. The male fled upon state police arrival at the scene. He is facing charges for the incident, and an arrest warrant has been obtained by state police. State police noted that active attempts are being made to locate the male, who has been identified as Michael Steven Siple II, 31, of Sykes Street Extension. State police at Philipsburg

• An incident of criminal mischief occurred Sept. 2-3 in the parking lot of the Trinity United Methodist Church in Philipsburg Borough. The victim told state police he had his red-colored Saturn parked in the lot and noticed two young boys playing near it. When he went to the lot he allegedly found that the passenger’s side mirror was broken and gravel was strewn about the top of his vehicle. Interviews are pending with the two boys who were observed near the vehicle, state police said.

State police at Ridgway

• An incident of unauthorized use of a motor vehicle occurred Friday on Keystone Road in Horton Township. During the incident, the suspect allegedly used the victim’s vehicle and failed to return it. The vehicle was described by state police as a 2009 Nissan Murano that is brown in color with gold pinstripes. Anyone with information is asked to contact the state police at Ridgway at 814-776-6136.

Clearfield Borough

• Police received a noise complaint that occurred overnight. The caller was advised to call when the incidents are in progress in order for timely police response.
• A male came to the Clearfield Borough police station to turn himself in on a warrant. The male was taken into custody and transported to the Sheriff’s Department as the warrant was held there, police said.
• Police responded to a report about an alleged theft along North Fourth Street. The incident remains under investigation, police said.
• Police received a report about a lost wallet. The wallet was found and turned into the state police.  The owner was then contacted and advised to contact state police to retrieve the wallet.
• Police responded to a welfare check at a residence along Daisy Street. Officers were unable to make contact with anyone, and it was believed that the occupant wasn’t at home.
• Police responded to a South Second Street business for a vehicle lockout. Officers were able to gain entry without damage.
• Police conducted a traffic stop along Bridge Street. After allegedly failing a field sobriety test, the driver was taken into custody and transported to the hospital for a blood draw. Charges are currently pending at this time, police said.
• Police received a report about an alleged incident of harassment by communication, where an unknown person keeps calling the victim but will not say anything. The incident remains under investigation at this time, police said.
• Police responded to a residence along West Front Street for a welfare check. Everything was found to be OK, police said.
• Police responded to a report about a male going door-to-door asking about electric service. Contact was made with the male who was advised that he needed a permit from the borough, police said.
• Police received a report about a stolen bicycle from Sheetz. Officers spoke to the suspect who admitted to it and turned the bicycle over to police. A victim has not come forward yet, police said.
• Officers responded to a residence along Dorey Street for a welfare check.
• Police responded to a Leavy Avenue residence for a report about a dog stuck on a fence. Shortly after police arrival, the owners returned home and were able to help the dog.
• Police responded to a noise complaint near the intersection of East Ninth and Daisy streets. The actor was warned for the violation and advised to turn down the music or charges would be filed, police said.
• Police responded to a local business for a report about an open door. Officers searched the interior with negative contact; a key holder responded and secured the business.
• Police responded to an alleged incident of criminal mischief along Daisy Street, where an actor cut the lock off of a soda machine. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Clearfield Borough police.
• Police responded to a report about a female who was allegedly passed out in a vehicle in a parking lot along South Second Street. Officers arrived and located the vehicle still running. After making contact with the female, she allegedly failed a field sobriety test and was transported to the hospital for a blood draw. Charges are currently pending the result of the blood test, police said.
• Police responded to a report about an alleged incident of criminal mischief along Daisy Street, where an actor slashed tires on a vehicle. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Clearfield Borough police.
• Police responded to a single-vehicle accident at the corner of South Second and East Walnut streets. Upon arrival police found that the driver was having a seizure.  Police also found that the accident may have been intentional.  The male was transported to the hospital for injuries and a psychological evaluation; his vehicle was towed from the scene, police said.
• Police responded to a welfare check along Spruce Street. The individual was found to be OK, police said.
• Police responded to a Spruce Street residence for an alleged verbal domestic dispute between a mother and son. Both parties were separated and warned for their actions, police said.
• Police responded to the 700 block of Nichols Street for a waterline break. Officers confirmed the break and contacted the Water Authority.
• A black diaper bag was found and turned into police. The owner was contacted and responded to station to claim the item.
• Police responded to a barking dog complaint in the area of Weaver and Merrill streets. The complaint was unfounded, police said.
• Police responded to an alleged fight in progress involving four individuals along Margarita Street. Upon arrival police learned that the altercation involved a boyfriend, girlfriend, the boyfriend’s brother and the girlfriend’s estranged husband.  Charges are being filed as a result of the fight, police said.
• Police responded to an alleged assault by an unknown actor. The incident remains under investigation at this time, police said.
• Police responded to a report about a suspicious male along South Fifth Street. The complaint was unfounded, police said.

Lawrence Township

• Police received a report about alleged harassing phone calls. Further, police made contact with those involved and advised them to cease contact with each other.
• Police were requested to check the welfare of a female. Upon arrival police found that she was OK.
• Police were requested to check the welfare of a juvenile. Further, police located the juvenile and determined that everything was OK.
• Police received a report about an alleged incident of trespassing. Upon arrival police found an individual was moving items from a residence.
• Police received a report about a child custody issue.
• Police received a report about alleged counterfeit $20 bills at Wal-Mart. The incident remains under investigation at this time, police said, adding that counterfeit bills have been received at Wal-Mart stores in DuBois and Punxsutawney, as well.
• Police received a report about an alleged incident of harassment by communications.
• Police were contacted about a civil issue.
• Police were contacted a second time about a civil issue.
• Police received a report about an alleged underage drinking party in the Plymptonville area.
• Police received a report about a suspicious male in the Golden Rod area. However, the male was gone upon police arrival.
• State police were assisted with attempting to locate a female.
• Police received a noise complaint that occurred at the Edgewood Apartments.
• Police received a report about an alleged incident of retail theft at Wal-Mart. Charges are to be filed, police said.
• Police received a report about a suspicious vehicle at Elliott’s Park.
• Police received a report about an alleged incident of harassment/stalking on Good Street. The suspect is known and charges are pending at this time, police said.
• Police were requested to check the welfare of someone at the Super 8 Motel. Further, police found everything was OK.
• Police received a report about a suspicious vehicle in the area of Mapes Avenue and Good Street. Upon arrival police found the individual was a door-to-door salesman with the proper paperwork.
• Police received a report about a suspicious male. Further, police found that everything was OK.
• Police received a report about alleged domestic problems and psychological issues. The individuals were released to the appropriate agencies, police said.
• Police received a report about an alleged illegal dumping incident on Nelson Road.
• Police received an animal complaint that occurred in the area of Kauffman and Evans roads.
• Police received a report about an alleged incident of criminal mischief on Kauffman Road.
• Police were requested to check the welfare of an individual who allegedly posted a rap video on Facebook.
• Police were requested to check on an elderly female who reported a burn violation.
• Police received a report about an alleged incident of trespassing.
• Police located suspicious vehicles at two, separate locations within the township.
• Police received a report about horses being on the roadway on Mount Joy Road.
• Police received a report about a struck deer on the Clearfield Bypass. It was reportedly causing a traffic hazard.
• Police received a report about dogs being inside a vehicle at a local business on South Second Street.
• Police received a report about a child being locked inside a vehicle.
• Police received a traffic violation that occurred in the area of Graham and Robinson Avenue.
• Police received a report about an alleged scam and damage to unattended property on Martin Street.
• Police received information about the location of Fugitive of the Week Jason Guthrie. Police located Guthrie and transported him to the CCJ on a warrant.
• Police received a report about an alleged assault victim at the hospital. Upon arrival police learned the incident occurred in Clearfield Borough.

Curwensville Borough

• Police would like to warn the public of an alleged phone scam in which callers claim to be with the IRS. Police advise residents not to respond to these types of calls.
• Police received a noise complaint that occurred in the Bloomington Avenue area.
• Police received a report about a suspicious person in the Chestnut Avenue area. Police found that the person had a borough permit.
• Police received a report about an aggressive dog that was chasing people. Further, police located the dog, followed it home and cited its owner for allowing it to run loose.
• Police checked the welfare of an individual who was threatening to harm himself.
• Police checked the welfare of a male in a vehicle and determined he’d fallen asleep.

DuBois City

• A vehicle was allegedly stolen Friday from the 100 block of Quarry Avenue. Further, the vehicle had been left running; when the owner returned their vehicle wasn’t there. However, state police stopped the vehicle on I-80, and the actor, a DuBois man, was taken into custody. Charges are currently pending at this time, police said.
• On Friday a 23-year-old DuBois man was arrested for public drunkenness after he was allegedly observed stumbling in traffic by an off-duty police officer. He was found to be on state parole and lodged at the Clearfield County Jail.
• On Saturday a 42-year-old DuBois woman was arrested for public drunkenness after she was allegedly found to be intoxicated and laying on the roadway on West Weber Avenue.
• Police stopped a vehicle after its operator allegedly swerved across the centerline Saturday. Further, the operator, a 23-year-old Stump Creek man, was allegedly found to have been consuming alcohol. He was taken into custody for DUI and for blood testing. Charges are currently pending toxicology results, police said.
• On Saturday a 27-year-old Big Run woman was allegedly threatened by an unknown woman, as she exited an establishment in the 200 block of West Long Avenue. The incident remains under investigation at this time, police said.
• On Saturday someone allegedly kicked in the basement door at a residence in the 200 block of South Brady Street. However, the suspect left when they saw someone in the residence. The incident remains under investigation at this time, police said.
• A 30-year-old DuBois man was arrested and removed from the emergency room at Penn Highlands after he allegedly threatened the staff on Saturday. He was found to be on probation in Clearfield County and lodged in the CCJ on a detainer. The man will be charged for the incident at the hospital, police said.
• On Saturday police received a report about a laptop allegedly being stolen from a residence in the 200 block of West DuBois Avenue. The incident remains under investigation at this time, police said.
• On Sunday police initiated an investigation into the alleged theft of a bicycle from a residence in the 800 block of West Long Avenue.
• On Sunday a vehicle operated by a 48-year-old DuBois man crossed the oncoming lane and sheared off a telephone pole and a fire hydrant. The operator told police that he must have fallen asleep while driving his vehicle. He will be cited for the accident, police said.
• Police received a report about an alleged domestic dispute Sunday. Upon investigation police found it was only verbal in nature.
• A 43-year-old man was arrested for public drunkenness after a witness called police and alleged that he’d fallen while trying to cross North Main Street on Sunday. Upon arrival police allegedly found that the man was visibly intoxicated.
• Police received a report about a residential alarm Sunday in the 500 block of West Long Avenue. Upon arrival police found everything to be OK.
