KARTHAUS TOWNSHIP – A 47-year-old Centre Hall woman was killed in a crash Sunday on Tunnel Road in Karthaus Township, reported the state police at Clearfield.
According to state police, the woman was traveling east and too fast for roadway conditions. She lost control of her vehicle, which exited the left side of the roadway.
Her vehicle then impacted with an embankment; it continued up the embankment and impacted a small tree. Upon impact with the tree, her vehicle rotated counterclockwise down the embankment.
Her vehicle overturned onto its right side and then returned to its wheels. The woman wasn’t wearing her seatbelt at the time of the crash, according to state police.
The woman’s name is being withheld until her next of kin has been notified, state police said. State police were assisted at the scene by Karthaus Ambulance, Karthaus Fire Company and Moshannon Valley Emergency Medical Services.
