English Sentenced for Giving Alcohol to Girls, Asking for Sexual Favors
CLEARFIELD – A Clearfield man was sentenced to state prison for giving alcohol to pre-teen girls and asking them for sexual favors.
Richard Stephen English, 45, who is an inmate of state prison, pleaded guilty to three counts of corruption of minors, three counts of indecent exposure and five counts of selling/furnishing liquor to minors before Judge Paul E. Cherry.
English was sentenced to serve a consecutive period of 18 months to five years in state prison. He was fined $5,006 plus costs.
Hull Pleads Guilty for Stealing from R.J. Corman
CLEARFIELD – A Clearfield man pleaded guilty to taking more than $136,000 of items from his employer.
Willis Leonard Hull Jr., 40, Clearfield, pleaded guilty to 10 felony counts of theft by unlawful taking and 18 misdemeanor counts of theft for taking railroad steel from R.J. Corman, beginning in October of 2010.
Judge Paul Cherry sentenced him to 90 days to one year in jail and four years consecutive probation.
Three Accused of Robbing DuBois Man at knifepoint
DUBOIS – Three individuals have been accused of conspiring to rob a DuBois man at knifepoint.
According to an affidavit of probable cause, filed with District Judge Patrick Ford’s office Aug. 27, Roderick Joe Gregory Jr., 23, 254 N. Wood Ave., DuBois, Mackenzie Alexa Carlson, 19, 602 Locust St., DuBois, and Jeanmal Mcphee, (no house number given) Wilson Ave., DuBois, are charged with two counts of robbery and one count each of burglary, assault, theft by unlawful taking, recklessly endangering another person, criminal trespass and criminal conspiracy.
According to the affidavit, police responded to Hungry Hollow Road to meet with a man reporting he had been robbed.
Clearfield School Board Unwilling to Spend $631K on Maintenance Facility
CLEARFIELD – Clearfield school board members aren’t willing to spend $631,000 on a proposed maintenance facility for the district’s vehicles and storage.
Dimmick Gets State Prison for Ordering Woman to Take Off Clothes Inside Business
CLEARFIELD – A Clearfield man charged with entering a business and ordering a woman to take off her clothes was sentenced to state prison in Clearfield County Court.
Commissioners OK Bid for Replacement Boiler at Courthouse
CLEARFIELD – Despite the bids being extremely high, the Clearfield County Commissioners will move forward with a boiler replacement project at the courthouse.
Hanson Waives Charges in Osceola Mills VFW Shooting Case
CLEARFIELD – A man accused in an April 1 shooting incident outside of the Veterans of Foreign Wars in Osceola Mills waived all charges during Centralized Court on Wednesday at the Clearfield County Jail.
