CLEARFIELD – The Clearfield Area United Way’s upcoming fall community campaign is getting under way.
Campaign Chairperson Debbie Bowser is shown mailing letters that are being prepared for the community campaign.
This year’s campaign helps to support 24 local member agencies throughout eastern, southern and central Clearfield County; the goal is $245,500.
“We hope everyone in the communities we serve will make a donation to help us continue to reach out and help others,” said Bowser.
“If you don’t receive a letter, we hope you will still help us by mailing a tax deductible donation to: United Way, 18 N. Second St., Suite 4, P.O. Box 1430, Clearfield, PA 16830.”
There is also a newer option to make an electronic donation through PayPal by visiting the United Way’s Web site, clearfieldareaunitedway.org.
The campaign kick-off luncheon is slated for 12 p.m. Oct. 15 at the St. Charles Café Dining Room in Clearfield.
An orientation for some of the more than 70 campaign volunteers will be held in the next few weeks.
