STATE COLLEGE – Roadway improvement work on Route 3005 between Fox Hollow and Fox Hill roads has begun and is expected to be complete before Penn State’s first home football game on Sept. 12.
Repairs will improve the ride quality of the roadway surface and extend the useful life of the pavement. This work was made possible by Act 89.
Drivers can expect daylight lane restrictions controlled by flaggers in the roadway. Due to lane restrictions, PennDOT is advising the public to take extra time to travel to University Park Airport to avoid late or missed flights.
All work is weather dependent. PennDOT will issue updates on the project as work/traffic impacts change.
Improvements will address approximately 2.6 miles of roadway in Patton Township and will include scratch and paving roadway along with miscellaneous items.
Glenn O. Hawbaker is the contractor on this $4.6 million project.
