Kathryn C. Hanna, 73, of Houtzdale died Saturday, Aug.29, 2015 at her residence. Born Feb. 7, 1942 in Clearfield, she was the daughter of Harvey and Helen (Lippert) Rowles.
She was a 1960 graduate of Clearfield Area High School. She was a member of the New Hope Christian Fellowship Church, Houtzdale. She was a homemaker.
On Sept 1, 1971, she married Robert A Hanna Sr., who survives at home.
She is survived by her children, Susan Sedgwick and her husband, Dan, Ken Smith, Robert Hanna Jr. and his wife, Lisa and Ginger Hanna Hayward and her husband, Lenard, all of Houtzdale; Kris Swatsworth of North Carolina; James Hanna and his wife, Maria of Texas; and Kori Smith Lindgren and her husband, Mike of Florida.
Also surviving are 14 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, and two sisters, Joyce Figart of Florida and Lorraine (Bee) Rowles of Washington.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two sons, Randy Smith and Tim Hanna; two daughters, Kim and Kerry Smith; and two brothers, Laymone and Keith Rowles.
Friends will be received from 2 p.m. – 4:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Birger A. Freeberg Funeral Home Inc., Houtzdale.
A memorial service will be held at 4:30 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home with the Rev. Dennis Frantz officiating.
