State police at Clearfield
- An incident of criminal mischief occurred Saturday on Crestview Drive in Wallaceton Borough. During the incident, someone allegedly forced entry and damaged a door jamb to the front door of the victim’s residence. Damage is estimated at $50, and the incident remains under investigation, state police said.
- An incident of disorderly conduct occurred Saturday on the Morrisdale-Allport Highway in Morris Township. During the incident, an Osceola Mills man was allegedly drunk and ran onto the highway. He allegedly attempted to strike several vehicles with his fist; he was almost struck by several vehicles. The man was charged for the incident, state police said.
- An incident of simple assault/harassment occurred Sunday on Sugar Camp Road in Greenwood Township. During the incident, a Mahaffey woman and the victim allegedly engaged in an argument that turned physical. She allegedly punched the victim in the face and scratched the right side of his face, which caused several red, bloody marks. The woman was charged for the incident and arraigned through the district court, state police said.
- An incident of criminal trespass occurred Wednesday at the Hillcrest Commons in Chester Hill Borough. During the incident, two Karthaus residents allegedly entered the victim’s apartment and took possessions that belonged to them. The victim, however, didn’t permit them to enter the apartment when she wasn’t at home.
State police at DuBois
- An incident of DUI/underage drinking occurred Saturday on South Main Street Extension in Sandy Township. During the incident, a DuBois teen was allegedly stopped for several traffic violations. While speaking with him, state police allegedly detected a moderate odor of alcohol. He was subsequently arrested for DUI and related traffic offenses pending blood test results. Two, teen passengers were subsequently arrested for underage drinking and released to their parents, state police said.
- An incident of harassment occurred Aug. 18 on the Bennetts Valley Highway in Huston Township. During the incident, two females allegedly engaged in a physical altercation. Charges were filed as a result, state police said.
- An incident of DUI occurred Monday on Spring Avenue in DuBois City. During the incident, state police allegedly stopped a DuBois male for a traffic violation and determined he was under the influence of alcohol. He was arrested for DUI without incident and charges will be filed through the district court, state police said.
State police at Punxsutawney
- State police conducted a sobriety checkpoint Saturday within the Punxsutawney coverage area. As a result, four people were arrested for DUI. State police issued a total of 16 citations and 39 written warnings for various vehicle code violations.
- On Thursday state police initiated a traffic stop in the area of Center and Water streets in Punxsutawney Borough. During the stop, state police allegedly found a Punxsutawney man to be in possession of heroin and drug paraphernalia. Charges were filed through the district court, state police said
- An incident of criminal mischief occurred Tuesday on Lodge Lane in Gaskill Township. During the incident, someone allegedly struck the victim’s mailbox, causing damage. Anyone with information is asked to contact the state police at Punxsutawney at 814-938-0510.
Clearfield Borough
- Police responded to a Clearfield Street residence for an alleged domestic between a mother and son. It was handled at the scene without incident, police said.
- Police responded to a Turnpike Avenue residence for an alleged domestic dispute between a mother and daughter. It was handled at the scene without incident, police said.
- Lawrence Township police were assisted with a psychological emergency along Clark Street.
- Lawrence Township police were assisted with a medical incident along Powell Avenue.
- Police received a report about a welfare check. However, police determined that it originated in Curwensville. As a result, all information was forwarded to Curwensville Borough police.
- Police received a report about alleged worthless checks at a local business. The incident remains under investigation at this time, police said.
- Lawrence Township police were assisted with an active meth lab.
- Police observed a male who is known to hold active warrants. Contact was made with the male who was detained by police. He was housed in the Clearfield County Jail after the sheriff’s department confirmed the active warrant.
- Police responded to a single-vehicle accident along North Front Street near East Pine Street. After a field sobriety test, the driver was taken to the hospital for a blood draw, police said.
- Police received a report about a protection from abuse order violation. After an investigation, officers located the actor who was then housed in the CCJ with charges filed against them.
- Police responded to South Fifth Street for a report about a driver riding an all-terrain vehicle on the road. The ATV was gone upon police arrival.
- A female came to station and needed assistance with contacting Crisis. Officers contacted Crisis and made arraignments for an evaluation.
- Police responded to a local establishment for a 911 hang-up call. Upon arrival police found that the call was for an unwanted individual who had fled prior to their arrival.
- Police responded to Clearfield Street near Turnpike Avenue for a parking complaint. The complaint was unfounded, police said.
- Police responded to a vehicle lockout along East Locust Street. Entry was gained without damage, police said.
- Police received a report about a hit-and-run accident along South Second Street that occurred while the victim was parking his vehicle. The actor is known to the victim, and the incident remains under investigation, police said.
- Police received a report about alleged stolen checks. The incident remains under investigation, police said.
- Police responded to an alleged domestic dispute along East 12th Officers made contact with both parties involved who were warned for their actions.
- Police were contact by a person who located a syringe laying along East 12th Officers collected the syringe and disposed of it properly.
- Police received a report about an alleged drug deal. The incident remains under investigation, police said.
- Police responded to a report about an intoxicated male who was allegedly throwing bottles and tables inside of a local establishment. The male fled prior to police arrival but was located outside. He was found to have several, active warrants and housed in CCJ for public drunkenness. Citations for criminal mischief and public drunkenness were issued to the male, police said.
- Police responded to an alleged burglary along Fulton Street, where an actor removed two chainsaws from a basement. The incident remains under investigation, anyone with information is asked to contact the Clearfield Borough police.
- Police received a report about a hit-and-run accident along North Second Street, where a silver truck struck the side mirror of a parked truck and then fled towards Sheetz. Police located the truck and after failing a field sobriety test, the driver was taken to the hospital for a blood draw. The driver was then released to a sober adult, police said.
- Police received a report about damaged property that was allegedly done by family members. The victim only wanted the incident documented and not investigated, police said.
- Police responded to a local establishment for a report about an intoxicated female. Upon arrival police learned that the female had allegedly taken an unknown amount of pills. Emergency personnel transported the female to the hospital.
- Police received a report about harassment over parking issues along West Fifth Street. Police would like to remind residents that on-street parking is on a first come, first serve basis. Harassment and or any other criminal acts as a result would be charged accordingly, police said.
- Police served a 302 warrant on a male along Spruce Street. The male was taken to the hospital for a mental evaluation, police said.

- Police received a report about a minor traffic accident on Route 879.

DuBois City
- While patrolling Liberty Boulevard on Friday, police observed a male running towards the bridge. When the male noticed the police cruiser, he allegedly jumped over the guiderail into the weeds. Police then located the male curled up in the weeds and asked him to come out. Police said that the male apologized for a verbal argument with his girlfriend at a local tavern. Police allegedly determined the male was intoxicated and released him to a friend.
- Police were dispatched to the 200 block of West Long Avenue for an alleged fight on Friday. Police made contact with one of the males involved while the other had fled the scene. There were no signs of injury, and the male did not want to pursue charges, police said.
- Police were dispatched to a business in the 800 block of Beaver Drive for an alleged theft on Friday. The incident is under further investigation, police said.
- Police were dispatched to Shaffer Avenue for a report about a suspicious person on Friday. The complainant advised police that a female who was dressed in dark clothing stopped at her residence claiming to be a Clearfield County Children & Youth Services caseworker. The female, police said, did not have any identification and left when questioned by the complainant. Clearfield County CYS advised police that they did not send anyone to the complainant’s residence. The complainant felt that it may be related to an ongoing custody issue, police said.
- Police were dispatched to the parking lot of 100 North Main Street for a hit-and-run accident on Friday. A 2010 Lincoln was legally parked in the lot when it was struck by a 2001 Dodge Ram truck, which was exiting the parking lot. The driver, however, failed to stop and was witnessed speeding out of the parking lot and onto North Main Street. A witness was able to obtain the registration, and the driver was located a short time later. The driver will be charged with accidents to unattended vehicle or property and careless driving, police said.
- Police were dispatched to the 700 block of West Long Avenue for an alleged domestic disturbance on Friday. The disturbance, police said, was determined to be verbal in nature but did allegedly disturb neighbors. The caller did not wish to pursue charges, and the couple was advised to end the argument for the night, police said.
