State police at Ridgway
- An incident of aggravated assault occurred sometime between July 7 and Aug. 10 on Zachary Road in Fox Township. During the incident, a two-month-old allegedly suffered severe injuries as a result of the incident. No further information was provided in the report; the incident remains under investigation.
Lawrence Township
- Police received a report about an alleged incident of harassment by communications.
- Police were requested to check the welfare of an individual. Further, police found that they were OK.
- Police received a report about an alleged incident of cruelty to animals in the Glen Richey area.
- Police were requested to check the welfare of an individual at the Clearfield Mall. However, they were gone prior to police arrival.
- Police received a report about an alleged disturbance in the Plymptonville area. Police handled the incident at the scene.
- Police received a report about an alleged theft in the Hyde area.
- Police received a report about an alleged phone scam in the Golden Rod area.
- Police received a report about a suspicious vehicle near the Clearfield Airport. However, police didn’t find any signs of criminal activity.
- Police received a report about an alleged disturbance/unwanted person in the East End area. Police handled the incident at the scene.
DuBois City
- Police stopped the operator of a vehicle for suspected DUI on Wednesday on East DuBois Avenue. The operator, according to police, failed each field sobriety test administered to them and was placed under arrest for DUI. The operator was taken to Penn Highlands, where they refused to submit to a blood test; the operator was released to a friend, police said. Charges were filed against the driver through the district court.
- Police received a report about a dog that was left inside a vehicle Wednesday on East Long Avenue. Upon arrival police made contact with the dog’s owner who allegedly admitted to leaving the dog unattended inside the car with the windows only cracked for at least 30 – 45 minutes. The dog’s owner was cited as a result, police said.
