Eric E. Young, 42, of Falls Creek died Tuesday, Aug. 18, 2015 at UPMC Presbyterian Hospital in Pittsburgh.
Born April 3, 1972 in DuBois, he was the son of Eugene H. “Shiner” Young and Janet (Allshouse) Young. They both survive and live in Falls Creek.
He was a 1990 graduate of Jeff Tech.
He worked 20 years as a bricklayer with the International Union of Bricklayers and Allied Craftsman Local No. 9. He also worked 10 years in construction with many contractors in our area.
He was an active member of the Falls Creek Eagles Aerie No. 965 and the Olympic Athletic Club for many years.
He enjoyed his children, his dog and family. He also enjoyed hunting, fishing, golfing and riding his Honda VTX 1800. He also enjoyed sports and helping with the Little League.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by two children, Erica Dawn Young and Alexander Harwood Hunter Young, both of DuBois; two sisters, Pamela L. Young (Jeff Weaver) of Punxsutawney and Marsha Ann Disselhoff (Steve) of Sabula; and his loyal pet, Ryder.
Friends will be received from 1 p.m. – 4 p.m. Sunday at the Goble-Baronick Funeral Home.
A service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, at the funeral home with Fr. Matias Quimno and Pastor David Nagele co-officiating.
