PUNXSUTAWNEY – A house caught fire Friday at 115 Perry St. in Punxsutawney Borough. It has been ruled accidental in nature, reported the state police at Punxsutawney.
According to the report, state police investigated the origin and cause of the fire. The fire originated on an outside porch and then progressed through its ceiling into the roof of the porch and house.
The house belonged to Shane L. Meenan, 40, of Punxsutawney. Damage is estimated at approximately $50,000, state police said.
