Michael J. Toth, 92, of Philipsburg and formerly of Morann, died Wednesday, Aug. 5, 2015 at his home. Born Aug. 11, 1922, he was the son of the late Michael and Anna (Janako) Toth.
Mr. Toth was a member of the Christ the King Catholic Church in Houtzdale.
He was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II. Â He was retired from Hommer Lumber. He had also worked as a coal miner. Â He attended the Morann Grade School.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three sisters, Margaret Tesoro and her husband, Al; Maybell Parente and her husband, Thomas and Anna Mae Cossick; a brother, Andy Toth and his wife, Marie; and a brother-in-law, William Griffo.
Mr. Toth is survived by a sister, Mary Griffo of Brooklyn, NY; a brother-in-law, Ben Cossack of Coalport; and several nieces and nephews.
The funeral service will be held 12 p.m. Saturday, at Heath Funeral Home & Cremation Services in Osceola Mills, with the Rev. Father Marc Solomon officiating. Â Burial will be at the Sacred Heart Cemetery in Brisbin.
Friends will be received from 10 a.m. Saturday until the time of the service at the funeral home.
Military honors will be accorded by the Osceola Mills Honor Guard.
