Kenneth L. Taylor, 56, of Clearfield died Thursday, Aug. 6, 2015 at his home with his family by his side. He was born Sept. 5, 1958 in Clearfield, a son of Lewis Taylor and the late Rose Marlene (Passmore) Taylor.
He was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church, Clearfield. Mr. Taylor was a loving husband, proud father and all-around family man and he was loved by many.
He was a welder by trade, owning his own business for 20 years. He was employed by NRG Energy as a mobile maintenance welder.
He had a passion for cars, especially restoring classic mustangs. He was truly caring toward his pets and all animals.
Mr. Taylor would go out of his way to help anyone in need. He will be deeply missed by everyone who had the pleasure of knowing him.
In addition to his father, he is survived by his wife, Charity S. (Kephart) Taylor, to whom he was wed Nov. 9, 1985 at Trinity United Methodist Church, Clearfield.
He is also survived by two children, AshLee M. Taylor and Senior Airman Nathaniel R. Taylor USAF; a brother, Rodney L. Taylor and his wife, Amanda; and his nieces and nephews, Bill, Matt, Lauren, Brian, Stephanie, Christine, William, Jamie, Joshua, Brent, Shelby and Andrew.
In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Mary Kay Taylor and Debbie Roseberry and a brother-in-law, Ralph Roseberry.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 15 at the Trinity United Methodist Church, Clearfield, with the Rev Robert Stump officiating. Burial will follow in the Hillcrest Cemetery, Clearfield.
Friends will be received from 4 p.m. – 7 p.m. Friday, Aug. 14 at the Kevin A. Beardsley Funeral Home, Clearfield.
The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals, 275 21st St., Clearfield, or to Trinity United Methodist Church, 121 S. Second St., Clearfield.
