Roosevelt, Washington, was evacuated on Thursday because of a brush fire.
Approximately 300 people left the town and surrounding area after a level 3 (leave now) order, according to Klickitat County Emergency Manager Jeff King.
Authorities said the fire began on Tuesday and occupies 24,000 acres, threatening 25 homes.
Fire crews have established fire lines and are patrolling the area. No injuries have been reported.
According to the 2010 census, Roosevelt had a population of fewer than 160 people. It is on the Columbia River at the Washington-Oregon border, about 150 miles southeast of Seattle.
