State police at Clearfield
- An accident occurred Wednesday involving a commercial vehicle on the Viola Pike in Gulich Township. Further, it was traveling south and approaching a road closed sign. As a result, its operator proceeded to turn around in the roadway, causing damage to utility lines. The vehicle sustained minor damage, and no injuries were reported, state police said. The operator will be cited for the accident.
- An incident of furnishing alcohol to minors and underage consumption occurred Tuesday in a wooded area off of Stoneville Road in Boggs Township. During the incident, a known DuBois male allegedly purchased alcohol for several juveniles for consumption. As a result, two male juveniles were transported to Penn Highlands via personal vehicle to be evaluated for alcohol consumption; of those two, one was then flown to the Children’s Hospital in Pittsburgh for further evaluation. - An incident of burglary, theft and criminal mischief occurred sometime between July 31 and Wednesday at a vacant private residence on Clover Hill Road in Bradford Township. During the incident, someone allegedly forcibly entered the residence by pushing open a screen window to the basement storm door. Once inside they allegedly rummaged through the residence, cooked noodles, used the toilet, urinated on the basement floor, left debris inside and outside and removed a key to the garage. - An incident of criminal mischief occurred Wednesday on Logan Street in Osceola Mills Borough. During the incident, someone allegedly struck the victim’s vehicle with an egg, causing paint damage. - An incident of criminal mischief occurred Wednesday or Thursday on Ridge Avenue Extension in Pike Township. During the incident, someone allegedly damaged the victim’s mailbox. State police at DuBois
- A two-vehicle accident occurred Tuesday on Route 219 in Washington Township. Further, Taffy L. Cornman of Brockway was traveling north while Jacob A. Crytser of DuBois was also traveling in the same direction. However, Crytser was slowing down for cross traffic that was turning into a driveway. However, Cornman was unable to stop and rear-ended the Crytser vehicle. Cornman was not wearing a seatbelt and sustained minor injuries. Both occupants of the Crytser vehicle were wearing their seatbelts and not injured. DuBois Emergency Medical Services and towing services assisted at the scene.
- An accident occurred Wednesday on the Luthersburg-Rockton Road in Union Township. Adam B. Snyder of Brockway properly stopped and attempted to turn left to travel east on the Luthersburg-Rockton Road. However, Snyder failed to yield the right-of-way and pulled in front of a westbound vehicle. Snyder accelerated to try to avoid a “T bone” collision and continued south, crossing the Luthersburg-Rockton Road and impacting a utility pole, a no parking sign and a large pine tree. Snyder was cited for the accident, state police said. State police were assisted by Brady Township Ambulance and the Union Township Fire Department.
State police at Philipsburg
- An incident of criminal mischief occurred sometime July 6-10 at Skills of Central Pennsylvania in Philipsburg Borough. During the incident, someone allegedly stuck several nails in the victim’s vehicle tire. Anyone with information is asked to contact the state police at Philipsburg at 814-342-3370.
State police at Ridgway
- An incident of theft occurred sometime Monday or Tuesday on Shawmut Road in Horton Township. During the incident, someone allegedly removed an aluminum work area. Anyone with information is asked to contact the state police at Ridgway at 814-776-6136.
Lawrence Township
- Police received a report about an alleged retail theft at Wal-Mart. Charges are currently pending, police said.
- Police received a report about a psychological emergency on Leonard Street.
- Police received a report about a parking violation on Smith and Weaver streets.
- Police received a report about suspicious vehicles at Sapp Bros.
- Police responded to a mental health emergency at a Mount Joy Road residence. However, police determined they had been given the wrong address, and the male resided in the borough. Police transferred the incident to Clearfield Borough police.
- Police received a report about a missing juvenile. Further, police found the child was missing from the fair; the incident was transferred to borough police.
- Police located a male from the Hyde area for whom they had two active warrants. He was put in jail to await arraignment.
- Police received a report about a motorist who was allegedly driving under the influence. However, the caller wasn’t sure where the alleged DUI was taking place.
Curwensville Borough
- Police received a report about the operator of a vehicle, which was trespassing Monday. The owner and operator were asked to leave and advised the property isn’t open to the public.
- Police received a report about an alleged domestic disturbance Tuesday on Baily Road. However, police found it was a person talking loudly.
- Police reported that someone allegedly attempted to gain entry into a High Street residence on Sunday.
