Sally A. Ireland, 75, of Philipsburg died Wednesday, July 29, 2015 at Mount Nittany Medical Center, State College.
Mrs. Ireland was born Dec. 5, 1939 in Kane, the daughter of Lowrien Clinton and Emma Mae (Glass) Batterson. She was a homemaker.
Mrs. Ireland is survived by two sons, Ronald D. Maines of Clearfield and Rusty A. Maines and his wife, Chris of Lanse; six grandchildren, Branden Pritts, Brandie Pritts, James Maines, Christopher Maines, Jessica Hoyt and Jamiee Cook; four great-grandchildren; Brody Pritts, Khendyl Sharrer, Hoyt Cook and Brielle Maines; a brother, Harold Batterson; and two sisters, Ginger Moyer and Penny Burdick.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, Robert D. Maines, who died June 18, 1973; her second husband, Kenneth R. Ireland, who died Feb. 3, 2000; a daughter, Diana L. Stevens; a son, Robert C. Maines; and a granddaughter, Ashelynn Marie Stevens.
Honoring Mrs. Ireland’s wishes, there will be no public visitation.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at the Messiah Baptist Church, Kylertown, with Pastor Earl Shawley officiating. Burial will be at Crown Crest Memorial Park.
