A positive test for salmonella has caused Kroger to recall four of its seasonings.
The grocery store chain is recalling Kroger Ground Cinnamon, Kroger Garlic Power, Kroger Coarse Ground Black Pepper and Kroger Bac’n Buds.
A sample of Kroger Garlic Powder, from a South Carolina store, tested positive for salmonella contamination in a Food and Drug Administration test.
There have been no reports of illnesses associated with the seasonings, but Kroger said in a statement that it is recalling them this week as a precaution.
Kroger has removed the products from its shelves and asks that customers who have bought the seasonings not eat them and return them to a store for a full refund or replacement. Customers with questions may call 1-800-576-4377.
The recall covers 31 states.
