State police at Clearfield
- A firearm was found Tuesday along Route 2049 in Bradford Township. Anyone with information is asked to contact the state police at Clearfield at 814-857-3800.
- An incident of harassment occurred Tuesday outside of a Spruce Street address in Bigler Township. During the incident, two Madera women allegedly engaged in a verbal altercation that turned physical. More specifically one allegedly flicked the other on the chin who then punched her in the right side of her face. Neither woman sustained any injuries during the altercation; both were cited for harassment through the district court, state police said.
State police at Philipsburg
- An accident occurred Sunday on Walnut Street in Rush Township. Bradley S. Martin of Philipsburg stopped at the intersection of G and Walnut streets and then turned onto Walnut Street. While turning, his vehicle traveled off the left side of the roadway and up an embankment. There, his vehicle impacted at stone slope, continued south and impacted a utility pole, which broke in half. The Martin vehicle came to a final rest at the base of the utility pole. Neither Martin nor his passenger was injured in the accident; both were wearing their seatbelts. Martin was cited for the accident, state police said.
Lawrence Township
- Police received a report about a suspicious male at the Clearfield Mall.
- Police received a report about a dog inside of a vehicle at Wal-Mart. Upon arrival police found that the dog was not in any distress.
- Police received a report about an alleged retail theft incident that occurred at Dollar General.
- Police received a report about an unwanted male at Edgewood.
- Police received a report about an alleged incident of trespassing behind Arby’s along Route 879.
- Police received a report about children who were allegedly unattended on Robinson Avenue.
- Police received a report about the alleged intimidation of a victim or a witness.
- Police were requested to assist a motorist.
- Police received a report about an alleged incident of disorderly conduct on Clarendon Avenue.
- Police received a request for information about an alleged protection from abuse order violation.
- Police received a report about an alleged incident of harassment on Robinson Avenue. However, the incident was listed as unfounded, police said.
- Police served a warrant on a Philipsburg female who was located by the state police at Philipsburg. She was lodged in the Clearfield County Jail to await arraignment.
- Clearfield Borough police were assisted with an alleged burglary incident on High Street.
- Clearfield Borough police were assisted with an incident on Dorey Street.
- Police received a report about a suspicious male at a business on South Second Street. Police located the male and handled the incident at the scene.
DuBois City
- On Tuesday a DuBois teen was stopped by police for alleged traffic violations. During the traffic stop, police allegedly found the teen was under the influence of alcohol. He was taken into custody and for blood testing. Charges are currently pending at this time, police said.
- Police were dispatched to check the welfare of small children Tuesday at the DuBois City pool. Police were advised the mother of three continued to leave the children unattended, and lifeguards had received numerous complaints from other patrons. Police responded to make sure the children were OK and discussed the complaints with the mother.
- Police were stopped by a male Tuesday along Maple Avenue, and he alleged observing two juveniles riding their bicycles on the playing surface on Showers Field. Police checked the area but were unable to locate the juveniles.
- Police received a report about a wanted person Tuesday at a Rumbarger Avenue residence. Police were advised that Fugitive of the Week Destiny Gasbarre was inside of the residence. When police knocked, Gasbarre was allegedly observed looking out of a second-floor window; her husband was allegedly observed removing a ceiling tile and putting her in a crawl space. When Gasbarre’s husband answered the door he allegedly denied that she was there, police said. Police were given consent to search the residence and located Gasbarre in the crawl space. Gasbarre was taken into custody and turned over to the Clearfield County Sheriff’s Department.
Sandy Township
- A 44-year-old Rockton man was cutting grass at a Treasure Lake residence Tuesday when his truck rolled down the driveway and hit a tree. No injuries were reported, and the vehicle was towed from its resting position and driven from the scene.
- On Tuesday the owner of the Scenic View Drive-in alleged that he apprehended a 20-year-old Reynoldsville man who he thinks attempted to break into the building. Police found evidence that someone attempted to break into the business, and the investigation continues at this time.
Decatur Township
- Police allegedly observed two all-terrain vehicles traveling on Logan Road. The operator of one ATV fled from police; he was later located and allegedly admitted to fleeing from police. Police have filed charges against the male for the incident.
- Police responded to a two-vehicle accident at the Peebles Plaza. No injuries were reported and both vehicles were driven from the scene, police said.
- Police responded to an accident at the intersection near CVS Pharmacy in Philipsburg. Upon arrival police learned the owners didn’t find any damage to the vehicles. Police assistance wasn’t necessary as a result.
- Police responded to an alarm on Bico Lane in Decatur Township. Upon arrival police were advised that everything was OK.
- A male who had a protection from abuse order against him alleged that the complainant wouldn’t stop harassing him by phone. Police advised the male to not contact the female to which he understood.
- Police had a set of car keys turned in during Houtzdale Days. The keys were found along the roadway, police said.
- Police investigated two, separate reports about suspicious persons at Houtzdale Days. Police determined that complaint was unfounded upon further investigation.
- Police received a report about a wanted male who was at Houtzdale Days. However, police found he wasn’t wanted upon further investigation.
