State police at Clearfield
- An incident of scattering rubbish occurred Tuesday or Wednesday on Company Road in Boggs Township. During the incident, someone allegedly placed a Sheetz bag containing used yogurt and a banana peel in the victim’s mailbox. Anyone with information is asked to contact the state police at Clearfield at 814-857-3800.
State police at Philipsburg
- An incident of theft occurred sometime between June 1 and July 11 on East Spruce Street in Philipsburg Borough. During the incident, someone allegedly removed a white gold composite diamond princess cut ring that belonged to the victim.
- On Wednesday state police stopped Christopher L. Eltschlager, 36, of Carnegie on Interstate 99 in Worth Township for habitual offender/revoked and a summary traffic arrest. He was also wanted on two warrants in Mercer County. Eltschlager was subsequently lodged in the Centre County Jail pending arraignment.
State police at Punxsutawney
- An incident of criminal mischief occurred on Route 28 in Rose Township. During the incident, someone allegedly broke an outside window pane with a BB gun. Anyone with information is asked to contact the state police at Punxsutawney at 814-938-0510.
Lawrence Township
- Police received a report about a dead deer in the middle of the Krebs Highway.
- Police received a traffic complaint that occurred on Village and George roads where a construction vehicle blocked the roadway.
- Police received a report about a fire alarm at Arby’s on the Clearfield – Shawville Highway.
- Police received a report about a suspicious vehicle on Linden Street.
- Police received a report about a civil matter and fielded questions about a possible protection from abuse order violation.
- Police were requested to check the welfare of a male who was having psychological issues on Daisy Street Extension.
- Police were requested to check the welfare of a female in the Plymptonville area
- Police received a burning complaint that occurred on Virginia Street.
- Police received a report about something suspicious at the K-Mart Plaza.
- Police received a report about trespassing that allegedly occurred on the roof of the former Clearfield Middle School.
- Police received a report about an alleged incident of harassment and disorderly conduct involving two males on Deacon Road.
- Police received a traffic complaint on Norman Road.
DuBois City
- Police received two reports about an alleged unruly male patient Wednesday at Penn Highlands. Medical personnel told police that the male was being held on a 302 warrant and attempting to leave the hospital. Police handled the incident at the scene.
- Police received a report about an alleged theft at a residence Wednesday on Main Street. The victim told police that two firearms were stolen sometime this year; police entered both firearms into the National Crime Information Center (NCIC) index. The incident remains under investigation at this time, police said.
- Police received a report about a single-vehicle accident that occurred Wednesday on Beaver Drive. Upon arrival police found a vehicle resting inside a doctor’s office; a 54-year-old Brookville woman told police she was attempting to park her vehicle and mistakenly hit the accelerator. She said this caused her vehicle to jump the curb, traverse the sidewalk and strike the window, coming to a rest just inside the office. No one was inside of the office at the time of the accident. No injuries were reported, and the vehicle was drivable, police said.
- On Wednesday police initiated investigations into four, different alleged thefts involving leased property that occurred at a business on Liberty Boulevard. Police said the leased property is overdue for return or payment, which hasn’t been done.
- Police received a report about an attempted break-in Wednesday on Clinton Avenue. The victim told police that they had left the residence for several hours; when they returned they found damage to their screen door and pry marks on the main door. Police indicated that the actor neither made entry nor took any items from the residence.
- Police received a report about a burglar alarm Wednesday on McCracken Run Road. Upon arrival police found the building to be OK and waited for its key holder. When the key holder arrived to the scene they found that the front door didn’t shut properly due to weather stripping. Police said the key holder corrected the issue and reset the alarm.
- Police received a report about suspicious activity Wednesday on Stockdale Street. The victim told police that they believed someone was walking around on the second floor of their residence and no one should be there. Upon arrival police didn’t locate any intruders.
- While performing traffic enforcement Wednesday on Maple Avenue, police observed a male exit a vehicle in the 400 block and then start punching it and yelling. Police made contact with the male and found he was arguing with his girlfriend over family issues. Police said the female was leaving for the night, and they asked the male not to be disorderly.
