State police at Clearfield

• An incident of criminal mischief occurred sometime between July 1 and July 7 on Dorsey Avenue in Irvona Borough. During the incident, someone allegedly broke a window out of the Spirit & Truth Church. Anyone with information is asked to contact the state police at Clearfield at 814-857-3800.

State police at DuBois

• On Tuesday a 25-year-old Clarion woman was allegedly found to be under the influence of alcohol or a controlled substance on Route 219 in Snyder Township. She was placed under arrest for suspected DUI and for the possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia. Charges are currently pending laboratory analysis, state police said.
• An accident occurred Tuesday on Salem Road in Brady Township. Bronson J. Borders of DuBois was traveling southbound while Kevin W. Crouch, also of DuBois, was traveling eastbound on Kriner Road, where his vehicle came to a stop. The Crouch vehicle proceeded into the intersection to make a left-hand turn and didn’t yield to the Borders vehicle, which subsequently struck it in the 9 o’clock position. The Crouch vehicle came to a rest after being pushed southbound approximately five feet; the Borders vehicle came to a controlled rest on Kriner Road, facing west. Occupants of both vehicles were wearing their seatbelts; Crouch was injured in the accident, state police said. State police were assisted at the scene by the Brady Township Volunteer Fire Department and towing services.

State police at Philipsburg

• A Ruger LCR .38-caliber was lost or stolen in the Philipsburg area sometime July 1-5. Anyone with information is asked to contact the state police at Philipsburg at 814-342-3370.
• An incident of access device fraud occurred June 19 on East Pine Street in Philipsburg Borough. During the incident, someone allegedly accessed the victim’s bank account to make purchases in New York.

State police at Punxsutawney

• An incident of access device fraud occurred July 2 on Friendly Lane in Big Run Borough. During the incident, someone allegedly gained access to the victim’s credit card and made fraudulent purchases. The estimated amount of the purchases was $397, state police said.
• An incident of theft by unlawful taking occurred July 3 at Wal-Mart in Young Township. During the incident, someone allegedly removed the victim’s wallet from a shopping cart. Anyone with information is asked to contact the state police at Punxsutawney at 814-938-0510.

Clearfield Borough

• Police responded to a welfare check at a garage along Daisy Street. Everything was found to be OK.
• Police responded to a report about a male who was allegedly laying in a parking lot along Merrill Street. He was allegedly found to be under the influence of an intoxicating substance. Charges have been filed against him, police said.
• Police received a report about a custody issue, which was civil in nature. The complainants were advised to speak with their lawyer, police said.
• Police responded to a minor vehicle accident along West Front Street.
• Police were contacted by Tyrone police in reference to a felony warrant. Police were able to locate the male suspect and take him into custody without incident. Police then turned the male over into the custody of Tyrone police.
• Police responded to an alleged incident of harassment at a residence along East Cherry Street. Police warned the actor for his actions and advised that charges would be filed if he continued.
• Police located an open door on a local business. Officers searched the interior and found everything to be OK.  A key holder responded and secured the building, police said.
• Police responded to a vehicle lockout along River Road. Police were able to gain entry without damage.
• Police responded to an East Cherry Street residence for a report about a cardiac arrest. Upon arrival the patient was found to be OK and had just fallen asleep. Police said that emergency personnel arrived at the scene and evaluated the patient for precautions.

Lawrence Township

• Police received a report about an alleged incident of criminal mischief in the area of Highview Road.
• Police received a report about an alleged incident of trespassing on Cindy Lane.
• Police received a report about an alleged incident of harassment by communications.
• Police received an animal complaint about a dead deer on the roadway.
• Police received a report about an alleged phone scam.
• Police received a report about a male who was allegedly intoxicated at Dairy Queen.
• Clearfield Borough police were assisted with serving a felony warrant out of Tyrone.

Curwensville Borough

• Police responded to Bailor Drive on Saturday, where a Grampian man was allegedly threatening to harm others with a firearm. However, he fled prior to police arrival. He was located Monday and charged with terroristic threats, simple assault, disorderly conduct and harassment. He was released on bail to await his preliminary hearing.
• Police received a report about a person(s) who was allegedly knocking on windows of a McNaul Street residence on Sunday.
• Police received a report about an alleged incident of criminal mischief that occurred at a Bailor Drive business. During the incident, someone allegedly caused damage to the parking area.
• On Tuesday a Curwensville man who was operating a Sedan exited the Dollar General parking area. He crossed over South Street and impacted a residence, causing minor damage. His vehicle was driven from the scene, police said.

DuBois City

• Police were dispatched to a single-vehicle accident Monday at the intersection of West Weber Avenue and Wood Street. Upon arrival police made contact with the 89-year-old man who was involved in the accident. He was attempting to turn his vehicle around; as he went to apply his brakes, he accidentally hit his gas pedal. He then lost control of his vehicle, drove over the sidewalk, through his yard and into a telephone pole.  He sustained minor injuries as a result, and his vehicle had to be towed from the scene.
• Police were dispatched to a two-vehicle accident Monday at the intersection of South Jared Street and Brown Alley.  Further, a 1997 Dodge Intrepid was travelling on South Jared Street when a 2004 Lexus RX350 pulled out in front of it from Brown Alley.  When the Lexus’ driver took action, the Dodge struck the Lexus on South Jared Street. No injuries were reported, and both vehicles were driven from the scene, police said.
• Police were dispatched to the 100 block of Robinson Street on Monday for a male who was allegedly walking up the roadway and yelling at someone on his cell phone.  The caller told police that the male was also carrying a wooden baseball bat and acting in a very aggressive manner.  Police searched the area for the male but were unable to locate him.
• On Monday police were dispatched to a residence on the 100 block of South State Street for an alleged theft by deception incident.  The victim told police that he attempted to buy a Play Station 4 from someone on Facebook. He allegedly sent $100 to the seller by Western Union; however, he has never received the Play Station 4. The incident remains under investigation at this time, police said.
• Police were dispatched to a residence on the 100 block of South Jared Street on Tuesday for an alleged verbal domestic dispute. The caller told police that the male who was allegedly involved in the domestic dispute was intoxicated and causing problems.  Upon police arrival, both parties agreed to separate for the rest of the night.  The male was taken to his mother’s residence, where he stayed overnight.
• Police were dispatched to the area of Division Street and Beaver Drive on Tuesday for individuals who were allegedly throwing firecrackers at other vehicles from a gold Jeep.  The caller told police that the Jeep was last seen travelling on Beaver Drive and heading towards the DuBois Mall.  Police searched the area but were unable to locate it; the incident remains under investigation at this time.
• On Tuesday police were dispatched to the area of North Franklin Street after a vehicle reportedly exited the roadway and crashed into a light pole. Its driver then fled the scene.  A witness told police an older model, gray Sedan exited the roadway and impacted the pole, knocking it over and destroying it.  The witness also told police that the vehicle had substantial damage to the front end area. Police searched the area for the vehicle, but it was gone upon arrival. The investigation continues at this time, and anyone with information is asked to contact the DuBois City police.

Sandy Township

• On Tuesday a Falls Creek man was waiting to turn onto Maple Avenue from Shaffer Road when a vehicle driven by a Brockway man failed to stop in time to avoid hitting him from behind. No injuries and minor damage were reported, police said.
• As a 22-year-old DuBois man was backing up in the DuBois Mall parking lot on Tuesday, he hit a vehicle being driven by a 25-year-old woman. No injuries and minor damage were reported, police said.
