DUBOIS – The Sandy Township Supervisors awarded the bid for the new road resurfacing project to Glenn O. Hawbaker during Monday night’s regular meeting.
Glenn O. Hawbaker submitted its bid in the amount of $436,585. The other bidders were New Enterprise and HRI.
According to the supervisors, the township will apply for $12,164.84 worth of county aid towards the road resurfacing project.
Manager Dave Monella also announced Sandy Township’s share of the Act 13 funds from natural gas impact fees. He said that this year the township received $45,000.
“It’s down a little but better than zero,” said Monella.
