CLEARFIELD– The trial was called off for a Clearfield man accused of coercing a woman to have sex with him at her business after accepting a guilty plea.
Clearfield Soccer Association Announces Capital Campaign
CLEARFIELD– Clearfield Soccer Association has received two separate grants totaling $160,000 from the state’s Department of Conservation and Natural Resources, according to Eric Johnson, who made the grant applications for CSA. The association must raise a matching $160,000 to fund the improvement projects planned for the association’s soccer complex located at 1 Soccer Lane, off of Coal Hill Road in Hyde.
Massachusetts Man Accused of Threatening a Woman Following a “Road Rage” Incident
DUBOIS – A Massachusetts man is facing charges following an incident of road rage.
According to an affidavit of probable cause filed with District Judge Patrick Ford’s office June 21, Benjamin Robert Reed, 26, 49 Adams St., Haverhill, Mass., is charged by the DuBois City police with terroristic threats, assault, stalking and two counts each of disorderly conduct and harassment.
Johnson Accused of Forging a Prescription
DUBOIS – A Brockway woman is accused of allegedly forging a prescription to obtain narcotics.
According to an affidavit of probable cause filed with District Judge Patrick Ford’s office June 25, Erica J. Johnson, 26, DuBois, is charged by the DuBois City police with criminal attempt to obtain possession of a controlled substance, acquiring a controlled substance by misrepresentation, forgery, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Three Accused of Drug Possession Following Traffic Stop in Sandy Twp.
DUBOIS – Three men are facing drug-related charges following an incident in Sandy Township.
According to affidavits of probable cause filed with District Judge Patrick Ford’s office June 22, Dylan Tapper, 18, 375 14th St., Reynoldsville, is charged by Sandy Township police with possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, fleeing or attempting to elude a police officer, careless driving, reckless driving and three summary traffic charges.
Tennessee Man Apprehended Following Vehicle Theft
DUBOIS – A Tennessee man is accused of stealing a vehicle from a DuBois restaurant.
According to an affidavit of probable cause filed with District Judge Patrick Ford’s office June 24, Steven D. Gillis, 30, 116 Henry Davis Rd., Harriman, Tenn., is charged by the DuBois City police with theft by unlawful taking, receiving stolen property and criminal mischief following an incident June 24. Gillis has waived these charges to court.
Scott to Stand Trial for Pulling a Gun and Threatening Man
CLEARFIELD – A Hyde man will stand trial for pulling a gun and threatening to kill another man.
