CLEARFIELD – Clearfield Area United Way held a Site Visit/Board Meeting at Camp Confidence, a United Way member agency.
Camp Confidence is a Summer camp for challenged youth from the area, held annually at Camp Mountain Run near Penfield. CAUW Board Member James Glade is shown presenting a donation to help defray the crafts costs with Camp Director Grace Marshall.
During the meeting, they reviewed information about the Programs and Services of Camp Confidence. Attendees also celebrated meeting camp capacity this year.
Students from any of the local high schools who may be interested in becoming a volunteer camp counselor for next summer, are asked to contact the United Way at 765-6521.
“We can put them in touch with Mrs. Marshall and staff; so many teen counselors have gone on to work in the fields of education, speech therapy, and a myriad of other careers, because of their work during the Summer at Camp. It is a great program, not only for the campers, but for the volunteers as well,” explained Nancy Pinto from United Way.
