Clearfield Borough
- Police were notified of a tree that was down blocking the roadway along the 300 block of Witmer St. The Borough Street Crew was notified and handled the complaint.
- Police received a report of a disabled vehicle along Nichols St. The caller advised that he would have the vehicle removed within the hour.
- Police received a report of bad road conditions along West Market St. Police responded and found part of the roadway was flooded from the rain.
- Police received a complaint of harassment that occurred along S. 3rd St.
- Police made contact with a male that was allegedly harassing a female over the phone.
- Police were called to the area of East Market St for a suspicious person. Police responded but were unable to locate the male.
- Police responded to a business along N. 2nd St for a reported retail theft complaint.
- Police initiated a traffic stop along East Cherry St for a traffic violation. As a result of the stop marijuana and drug paraphernalia were located inside the vehicle. One of the males in the vehicle was on probation and was transported to the jail.
- Police are investigating a hit and run accident that occurred along N. 3rd St.
- Police assisted a motorist along Spruce St when their vehicle had become disabled.
Lawrence Township
- Police received a call of a possible sales scam. Police report that a township resident had two males stop at her resident and attempt to sell her new doors and windows. Police explained that this could or could not be a scam and that the resident should contact police if the two men return.
- Police responded to a one vehicle crash along Rockton Mountain Highway. No injuries were reported and the vehicle was driven from the scene.
- Police received a call of an alleged scam to which the caller advised that they were from the IRS and that the resident had to pay a fine in order to avoid civil charges. Police advised that the IRS does not file civil charges and that they should not provide any personal information to callers claiming to be the federal government until they have verified the call.
- Police received a parking complaint along the Fulton Street area.
- Police assisted Clearfield Borough with an attempt to locate a possible male with a gun on Market Street.
- Police were dispatched to a report of suspicious activity at a local business
- Police responded to a report of a tractor trailer stuck in a yard. The operator stated that his GPS led him in the wrong direction.
Sandy Township
- Officers responded to an alarm at DuBois Drug and Wellness. Upon investigation it was found that after cutting electrical and cable wires going into the business, someone broke the lock on the front door to gain entry. The suspects fled the scene when the alarm sounded. Investigation continues.
- A 20 year old DuBois woman was stopped in traffic when she got distracted and thought traffic began to move again and she hit the vehicle in front of her. No injuries and both vehicles were driven from the scene.
- Treasure Lake Security reported that someone took the “No Motorcycles Allowed” sign that was posted at the back gate.
- Sears employees reported an intoxicated woman was causing a disturbance in the store. The woman had fled the scene prior to officers’ arrival.
- A 911 hang up call was received from an Arminta Street residence. Upon investigation it was determined to accidental.
- Employees of the Friendly Tavern reported a man causing a disturbance in the bar, attempting to start fights with other patrons. When he was asked to leave, he refused until employees called the police. The man fled prior to police arrival.
- A 26 year old W. Scribner Ave. man has been charged with public drunkenness after police witnessed him stumbling along S. Brady Street, walking into a parked car, then nearly stumbling into traffic.
- False alarm at Rite Aid
DuBois City
- Officers were dispatched to the 500 block of West Long Avenue for a residential burglar alarm. Officer’s made contact with the homeowner and all was fine. Officers cleared without incident.
- Police received a report of suspicious persons in the 100 block of East Weber Avenue. The person’s had a proper permit to conduct door to door vacuum sales.
- Officers were dispatched to the 100 block of West Washington Avenue for a reported theft. It was determined that the incident was a civil matter over shared property.
- Officers were dispatched to the 500 block of Division Street for a two vehicle crash. A 200 Oldsmobile Alero was pulling from the Gasbarre parking lot and pulled into the path of a 2004 Chevrolet Blazer. Both vehicles sustained moderate damage and there were no injuries reported at the scene.
- Police were dispatched to a business on the 400 block of Beaver Dr. for the report of a motion alarm going off inside the business. Upon the arrival of police, they searched the outer perimeter and found it to be secure. No key holder responded so police were unable to search the inside of the business.
- Police were dispatched to a residence on the 400 block of S. Main St. for the report of suspicious circumstances. The reporting party advised police that she could hear what sounded like someone tapping on the outside windows of their residence. Police searched the outer perimeter of the residence along with the surrounding area but were unable to locate anyone in the area. After making sure that everything was secure and safe police cleared from the incident.
- Police were dispatched to the area of W. Washington Ave. for the report of a lost dog. Police found that a female Pug that is fawn/tan in color and wearing a pink collar was missing from a residence in the above area. The dog’s name is Bella. Anyone with information on the location of the dog is asked to call the DuBois City Police.
