Police in Charleston, South Carolina, are responding to a downtown shooting, the department said on Twitter late Wednesday.
There was no immediate information on potential victims.
Police gave the address of the shooting as 110 Calhoun St., which is the location of the Emanuel African Methodist Episcopal (AME) Church.
