CLEARFIELD –District Attorney William A. Shaw Jr. has announced Clearfield County’s Fugitive of the Week for the week of June 2.
Shaw identified the fugitive as Austin Delgrosso, 46, of Smith Street, Clearfield. Delgrosso is wanted in two, separate cases for failure to appear at a Criminal Call on May 14.
On Nov. 11, 2014, Patrolman Ralph Nedza of the Lawrence Township Police Department filed a criminal complaint against Delgrosso. He charged him with driving under the influence of alcohol, M; accident involving damage to attended vehicle/property, M3; registration and certificate of title required, S; careless driving, S; reckless driving, S; failure to stop and give information and render aid, S; and failure to notify police of accident/damage to vehicle, S.
According to the affidavit of probable cause, on July 21, 2014, police were dispatched to Montgomery Run Road, Clearfield, for a report about a two-vehicle accident. Upon investigation police found that one driver had failed to stop after the accident.
Officers split up and later located a vehicle matching the description with heavy front-end damage. Emergency lights were activated and upon making contact with the driver, later identified as Delgrosso, police allegedly detected signs of impairment. Delgrosso was then transported to the Clearfield Penn Highlands Hospital for blood testing.
A preliminary hearing was scheduled for Dec. 31, 2014, at which time all charges were held for court. On May 14, Delgrosso failed to appear for Criminal Call, and a warrant was issued for his arrest.
In a separate case, Patrolman Mitchell Klender of the Clearfield Borough Police Department filed a criminal complaint on Delgrosso on Dec. 11, 2014. He charged him with simple assault, M2, and harassment, S.
According to the affidavit of probable cause, on Dec. 1, 2014, officers were dispatched to a Smith Street, Clearfield, residence for an alleged altercation that had occurred the previous night. Upon investigation police found that Delgrosso and another individual were allegedly involved in a physical altercation after an argument.
A preliminary hearing was scheduled for Dec. 31, 2014, at which time all charges were held for court. On May 14, Delgrosso failed to appear for Criminal Call, and a warrant was issued for his arrest.
Delgrosso is described as a Caucasian male standing 5 feet, 9 inches tall. He has black hair and hazel eyes.
