DUBOIS – Starr Hill Vineyard & Winery of Curwensville has announced the opening of its new store at the Wal-Mart Supercenter in DuBois.
The store will offer a selection of more than 30 wines from dry to sweet. Vice President Kenn Starr said it was a dream for the winery.
“This is our 10-year anniversary in the wine business,” said Starr. “We started back in October of 2005.
“And, so for our 10-year anniversary, we finally open our store in one of the largest chains in the country.”
According to Wal-Mart officials, it is the first-ever winery to be located inside a Wal-Mart store in the entire country.
The Starr Hill store will be open from 10 a.m. – 8 p.m. Monday through Saturday and from 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. Sunday.
A large selection of award-winning wines will be available for tasting and purchase.
Starr Hill has other wine stores in Clearfield, Philipsburg, Brookville, Benezette and at the winery in Curwensville.
The store at the DuBois Wal-Mart will hold a grand opening at 10:30 a.m. June 3. Everyone is welcome to attend.
