CLEARFIELD – The Clearfield school board approved its tentative 2015-16 general and subsidiary fund budgets without any real estate tax increase during Monday’s combined committee and board meeting.

Drakeford Charged for Allegedly Passing Counterfeit Money at DuBois businesses
DUBOIS – A Bushkill man is accused of using counterfeit money at several local businesses.
According to an affidavit of probable cause filed with District Judge Patrick Ford’s office on May 11, Samar Dominic Drakeford, 20, 6375 Decker Rd,, Bushkill, is charged by the Sandy Township police with theft by deception.
Clearfield School Board Oks Graduation Requirements
CLEARFIELD – The Clearfield school board voted, 6-1, to approve its new graduation requirements during Monday night’s committee and board meeting.

CLEARFIELD – During Tuesday’s Primary Election, seven Republicans and three Democrats jockeyed for the four spots on the fall ballot for Clearfield County Commissioner.
Petrillo Accused of Public Intoxication, Drug Possession
DUBOIS – A DuBois man is accused of possession of a controlled substance following an incident in downtown DuBois.
According to an affidavit of probable cause filed with District Judge Patrick Ford’s office on May 13, Johnny Weylin Petrillo, 31, 409 Burt St., DuBois, is charged by the DuBois City police with possession of a small amount of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and public drunkenness or similar misconduct following an incident on West Long Avenue.
Clearfield Police: Timko Accused of Assault
CLEARFIELD – A 65-year-old Clearfield man, Ronald J. Timko, has been arrested for aggravated assault, simple assault and recklessly endangering another person, according to Clearfield Borough police.
Patino Accused of Lying to Police to Avoid Arrest
DUBOIS – A homeless woman is accused of lying to police to avoid arrest.
According to an affidavit of probable cause filed with District Judge Patrick Ford’s office May 8, Brandy Marie Patino, 28, no address provides, is charged by the DuBois City police with providing false identification to law enforcement.
Misho to Stand Trial in Child Abuse Case
CLEARFIELD – A man accused of assaulting a two-year-old girl after she shoved a plate of food away while he was trying to feed her had all charges returned to court after a preliminary hearing Wednesday at the Clearfield County Jail.
Resident Levies Allegations of Abuse of Power Toward Clearfield Councilman
CLEARFIELD – A resident is taking aim at a Clearfield Borough councilman for alleged abuse of power.
At Thursday’s Clearfield Borough Council meeting, Christina Fulton read a statement alleging Third Ward Representative Tim Winters had abused his power by sending an e-mail to Fulton’s employer. Copies of Fulton’s statement were given to the media.
