Near the Bellefonte I-80 Interchange
BELLEFONTE – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation advises drivers that travel delays are likely Thursday and Friday, May 21-22 on Route 26/I-99 northbound near the Bellefonte/161 interchange of Interstate 80.
The northbound right lane and shoulder will be closed so that crews can set a new overhead sign structure along the roadway. The sign work could lead to traffic back-ups and delays. Rolling road blocks may also be used as installation takes place.
The restrictions will be in place during daylight hours, starting as early as 7 a.m. Drivers should be prepared for stopped or slowed northbound traffic in the area of Route 26/I-99 and the I-80 Bellefonte/161 interchange.
Drivers will also be able to find updated information and notification of the delays on roadside message boards.
