John H. “Jack” Taylor Sr., 61, of Frenchville died Thursday, May 14, 2015 at the Penn Highlands DuBois Hospital.
Born Sept. 26, 1953 in Norristown, he was the son of the late Francis Jr. and Marion Hammond Taylor. He was a member of the Congress Hill United Methodist Church, LeContes Mills.
He was a veteran of the Vietnam era; he served in the U.S. Army. He held two terms on Chester Hill Borough Council.
Mr. Taylor was a member of the Christian Motorcycle Association. He had been a driver for the Fullington Bus Co. until his retirement.
He is survived by a daughter, Rebecca Lynn Tone and her husband, Thomas Jr. of Bath and two sons, John Taylor Jr. and his wife, Jolene of Osceola Mills and Robert F. Taylor of Royerford.
He is survived by 12 grandchildren, Thomas III, Gabrielle and Autumn Tone and Kalena, Cody, Kyle, Kaleigh, Karissa, Austin, Emily, Aiden and Robert Taylor Jr.
Mr. Taylor is also survived by his siblings, Mary Taylor, Marion Raup, Betty Lilick, Deborah Schretchings (Delano), Bernadette Daywalt (Carl), Eileen Bralski (Michael) and Francis H. Taylor and his wife, Debbie Jean, all of King of Prussia.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
A funeral service will be held at 12 p.m. Wednesday at the Strange & Weaver Funeral Service, Morrisdale, with Pastor Sue Arnold officiating. Burial will be in the Keewaydin Cemetery, Karthaus.
Friends will be received from 10 a.m. – 12 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Military honors will be accorded graveside.
