State police at Clearfield

• A hit-and-run accident occurred Monday on Pinetop Road in Bradford Township. Joseph P. Lonjin of Woodland was traveling north and negotiating a right-hand curve when he lost control of his vehicle. His vehicle exited the southbound lane and impacted with a utility pole.  Lonjin subsequently fled the scene. State police were assisted at the scene by Clearfield Emergency Medical Services and the Bigler-Jackson-Woodland Fire Department.

State police at DuBois

• On Monday a 29-year-old Raleigh, NC man was stopped for traffic violations on Interstate 80 westbound at mile-marker 94.8 in Washington Township. Upon further investigation, state police determined he was in possession of drugs, drug paraphernalia and U.S. Currency. The man was lodged in the Jefferson County Jail in lieu of $50,000 bail.
• An incident of burglary occurred at a camp sometime Sunday or Monday on Rockton Mountain Road in Union Township. During the incident, someone allegedly used force to gain entry into the camp and once inside they removed several tools and building supplies. The incident remains under investigation at this time, and anyone with information is asked to contact state police at DuBois at 814-371-4652.
• An accident occurred Sunday on Coal Hill Road in Brady Township. Kristine A. Dixon of Luthersburg was traveling south on her motorcycle when she made a right-hand turn onto Coal Hill Road and failed to observe a vehicle operated by Carolina Acuna of Flushing, NY stopped on the roadway. Dixon attempted to avoid the Acuna vehicle by passing on the left while the Acuna vehicle was attempting a U-turn. However, Dixon’s motorcycle struck the Acuna vehicle in the 11 o’clock position and left the roadway via the east berm. Both the motorcycle and vehicle sustained minor damage and were driven from the scene. Dixon sustained minor injuries and Acuna and both of her passengers were wearing their seatbelts and uninjured as a result of the accident. State police were assisted by the Brady Township Fire Department and Brady Township Ambulance.

State police at Philipsburg

• An accident occurred Saturday on the Tyrone Pike in Rush Township. David R. Smith of Sandy Ridge was traveling south while Erica C. Pilgram of Philipsburg was traveling north. Smith crossed over into the northbound lane of travel and into the path of the Pilgram vehicle. Pilgram attempted to swerve her vehicle to the right to avoid the Smith vehicle; however, she was unable to. The Smith vehicle subsequently struck that driven by Pilgram. After the initial impact, the Smith vehicle traveled off the eastern shoulder of the roadway and continued for approximately 185 yards. The Pilgram vehicle traveled along the eastern shoulder and came to a rest. Both vehicles sustained disabling damage and were towed from the scene.
• An individual responded to the state police at Philipsburg on Monday and reported finding a Daiwa fishing rod/reel in the area of Six Mile Run Road in Rush Township. They turned the rod/reel over to state police. Anyone wishing to claim the rod/reel is asked to contact the state police at Philipsburg at 814-342-3370.

Lawrence Township

• Police have initiated an investigation into an alleged incident of identity theft and access device fraud. Further, the victim told police that they had approximately $4,275 removed from their savings account; the victim said the funds were transferred to another credit card. Police have a suspect at this time.
• Police received a report about an alleged incident of harassment. The incident remains under investigation at this time, police said.
• Police received a report about an alleged incident of retail theft at the Wal-Mart Supercenter. The incident remains under investigation at this time, police said.
• Police received a report about alleged damage to property.
• Police received a report about the alleged unauthorized use of a motor vehicle. Police determined that the incident was civil in nature.
• Police were requested to check the welfare of someone at the Edgewood Apartments. Police found a wanted person at the scene and transported them to the jail.

Curwensville Borough

• Police recovered a debit card and returned it to the owner Friday.
• Several juveniles were allegedly observed during the early morning hours Saturday in the area of Schofield Street and Cooper Road. Police would like to remind that the curfew is 12 a.m. Friday and Saturday.
• Police received a report that someone had tied fishing line and other items across all-terrain vehicle trails. Police would like to warn property owners of the liability involved with such actions. Any property owners experiencing issues with ATVs and trespassing are asked to contact police.
• Police and fire personnel assisted a resident Saturday.
• Police received a report about a missing person; however, the person later made contact with family members.
• Juveniles were allegedly throwing stones at a Susquehanna Avenue building on Sunday. Upon arrival police found there wasn’t any damage to the building, as the juveniles weren’t throwing stones toward it.
• Police received a burning complaint in the area of Pennsylvania Avenue on Saturday. Police asked for the fire to be extinguished.

DuBois City

• A DuBois woman received a phone call from a woman who was claiming to be with Windows on Monday.  She was trying to get a credit card number from the DuBois woman, while claiming she would fix the problems with her computer.
• Police are investigating an alleged incident of criminal mischief that occurred Monday at the Pentz Run Youth Center, located on Daly Street.
• An alleged domestic dispute occurred Monday at an apartment in the 100 block of West Washington Avenue.  A man and his girlfriend, police said, were arguing over the way her son was acting when he was told to do something. Police spoke to the individuals involved and resolved the incident.
• On Monday police responded to the first block of Arminta Street for several 911 hang-up calls from that area.  Upon arrival police determined this was a civil issue between family members who were arguing over property. Police advised both parties that this was a civil issue and how they could handle it through the court system.
• Police were dispatched for an alarm at a business in the 400 block of Beaver Drive on Monday.  While police were responding to this location, the alarm company cancelled their response.
• Police responded to the 400 block of Pifer Street, where a generator was reportedly running and keeping the neighbors up on Monday.  Police made contact with the owner of the residence and advised them to shut off the generator for the night.
