As “Scandal’s” Olivia Pope would say, “It’s handled.”
ABC has announced it is renewing that drama as well as other series including “Castle,” “Nashville,” “Marvel’s Agents of SHIELD” and newcomers “Secrets and Lies” and “Agent Carter.”
Not that “Scandal” had much to worry about given that it is part of the Shonda Rhimes lineup that has proven golden for the network. Which of course means ABC is also bringing back other Shondaland shows including “Grey’s Anatomy” and “How to Get Away With Murder.”
The network is also still firmly holding on to popular comedies like “Modern Family” and “Black-ish,” which will also be returning next season.
Judging by the Twitter reaction, fans couldn’t be happier with ABC’s decisions.
In total, the network renewed 22 shows and canceled four: “Forever,” “Cristela” “Resurrection,” “Revenge” and “The Taste.”
