CIU Holds K’Nex STEM Design Challenge

WEST DECATUR – Central Intermediate Unit No. 10 recently held the first K’Nex STEM Design Challenge at Lock Haven University Clearfield Campus.

Students in grades four through eight were invited to create a device made only of K’Nex to move a ping pong ball four feet.

Eight teams competed throughout the day presenting their devices and blueprints to a panel of judges.

Shown above are participants from Clearfield and Curwensville Area School Districts.

The top team from each division, from Clearfield Area School District, will participate in the state competition in Harrisburg on May 5.
