State police at Clearfield
- A custody issue occurred Tuesday on Pearce Hollow Road in Cooper Township. Further, after being given temporary custody, a 36-year-old Woodland man, Matthew T. Wills, allegedly failed to return a 15-month-old child to his mother at an agreed upon time. State police said that the last known whereabouts of the man and child was the State College area. Anyone with information on the whereabouts of Wills is asked to contact the state police at Clearfield at 814-857-3800.
- An incident of assault/harassment occurred Tuesday on Fourth Avenue in Woodward Township. During the incident, a known suspect allegedly struck the victim in the arm. The incident remains under investigation at this time, state police said.
State police at Philipsburg
- An incident of identity theft occurred April 10 when someone allegedly attempted to open several accounts in the victim’s name. The incident remains under investigation at this time, state police said.
- An incident of harassment occurred April 23 on South Front Street in Philipsburg Borough. During the incident, a couple allegedly engaged in a verbal argument that turned physical when they started to strike each other. The incident remains under investigation at this time, state police said.
State police at Ridgway
- An incident of criminal mischief occurred Tuesday on Caledonia Road in Jay Township. During the incident, a known female allegedly arrived and broke a window pane on the back door of the victim’s residence.
Lawrence Township
- Police received a report about alleged counterfeit money from a local business on the Clearfield – Shawville Highway.
- Police received a report about an accident on South Second Street. No injuries occurred as a result; towing wasn’t required, police said.
- Police received a report about an accident on Clark Street. No injuries were reported as a result; towing wasn’t required, police said.
- Police received a report about an alleged incident of harassment.
- Police received a report about a female driver who had lost a cooler from the bed of a truck. Police were unable to make contact with the driver.
- Police received a report about an alleged incident of reckless driving on South Second Street.
- Police received a report about an alleged incident of reckless driving on Lawrence Avenue.
- Police received a report about an accident near 879 Auto Sales. No injuries occurred as a result; towing wasn’t required, police said.
- Police assisted state parole agents at a Lawrence Township residence.

Curwensville Borough
- Police located a vehicle early Sunday morning on Route 879 and stopped to assist its driver. Police found a designated driver had stopped due to a passenger feeling ill from consuming alcohol. Police ensured the occupants were responsible and released them.
- Police received information about a wanted person who was at Curwensville Lake. State police located the person and Curwensville police took custody of him. He was lodged at the jail, as there were several warrants for his arrest.
- Police received a report about an alleged domestic disturbance Sunday on Filbert Street. Further, police found it was non-violent in nature and an unwanted person left upon request of the homeowner.
- Police received a report about an alleged incident of identity theft and fraud on Tuesday. The victim’s personal information was used to file a tax return, police said.
- Police received a report about a suspicious man in the area of Beech and Hill streets on Tuesday. Police identified and released the man.
DuBois City
- Police observed a Toyota passenger car traveling north on Brady Street and initiated a traffic stop due to violations on Tuesday. Police identified the female driver as a 26-year-old DuBois woman and detected an odor of an alcoholic beverage emitting from her breath. During the traffic stop, the female was arrested for the suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol. Charges are pending upon results of toxicology testing, police said.
Sandy Township
- On Tuesday Wal-Mart employees reported that a 41-year-old man was allegedly caught taking $36.46 worth of razor blades without paying for them. The incident remains under investigation at this time, police said.
- Police received a report about all-terrain vehicles being operated on the road in the area of South Main Street and Wayne Road on Tuesday. The vehicles were gone upon police arrival.
- A business owner reported people steeling rocks from the properties landscaping on Tuesday. Upon arrival police found a 52-year-old man and 30-year-old woman who allegedly said they were rock collectors. Police handled the situation without incident.
- On Tuesday a 37-year-old woman reported receiving a call from someone claiming to be from Verizon who instructed her to give them access to her computer. When she followed his instructions, the computer was allegedly hijacked and the caller demanded payment with a credit card to release the computer. Police would like to warn residents to never release personal information, such as social security and account numbers, over the phone.
