State police at Clearfield
- An incident of harassment occurred Monday on Main Street in Madera. During the incident, a Houtzdale man and the victim allegedly engaged in a verbal argument in which he head-butted him in the face. The man was charged through the district court, state police said.
State police at Philipsburg
- On Monday, someone turned in a found electronic scanner with associated items to the state police at Philipsburg. Anyone with information is asked to contact the state police at Philipsburg at 814-342-3370.
- An incident of theft by unlawful taking occurred Sunday on Dirt Lane, which is off of Hoover Lane, in Taylor Township. During the incident, someone allegedly removed a chainsaw from the victim’s property; it has an orange, plastic cover over the engine and an 18-inch cutting bar. The chainsaw is valued at $450. - Police received a report about an alleged incident of theft by deception that occurred at the Clearfield Area Junior-Senior High School.
- Police received a report about an alleged incident of theft by deception that occurred in the area of Shaw Street.
- Police responded to a parking complaint on Garman Lane.
- Police responded to the Bowman’s Hill area for a child who was allegedly being disorderly. Upon arrival police spoke with the child about his actions.
- Police assisted a disabled motorist at the intersection of U.S. Route 322 and the off-ramp of Route 879. Police remained on stand-by until help arrived at the scene.
- Police received information about a two-vehicle, non-reportable accident at the Plaza parking lot.
- Police received a report about an alleged phone scam, which involved a caller claiming to be with the IRS. The caller, police said, told the victim there was a federal lawsuit filed against them. Police would like to remind residents not to provide their personal information to anyone over the phone without receiving verification.
