State police at Clearfield

• An incident of DUI occurred Saturday on Deer Creek Road in Morris Township. Further, a Morrisdale man was stopped for faulty equipment on his truck. While conducting the traffic stop, state police determined the man had consumed alcohol and administered field sobriety testing. As a result, state police determined the man displayed signs of impairment. Charges were filed through the district court, state police said.
• An incident of burglary occurred April 5 on Carbide Road in Pike Township. During the incident, someone allegedly entered the victim’s property while he wasn’t at home and removed a bag filled with miscellaneous change totaling approximately $80. Anyone with information about the incident is asked to contact the state police at Clearfield at 814-857-3800.
• An incident of DUI occurred Saturday on state Route 53 south in Cooper Township. Further, a Grassflat man was allegedly operating a vehicle while under the influence of alcohol. Charges will be filed through the district court, state police said.
• An incident of criminal mischief occurred Saturday on Rockwood Road, Houtzdale. During the incident, someone allegedly damaged the rear windshield on the victim’s vehicle. Anyone with information about the incident is asked to contact the state police at Clearfield at 814-857-3800.
• An attempted burglary occurred sometime Thursday or Friday at McDowell Repairs, Woodland. During the incident, someone allegedly attempted to enter but failed to do so. In the process, they allegedly damaged the doorway area. The incident remains under investigation at this time, and anyone with information is asked to contact the state police at Clearfield at 814-857-3800.
• An incident of criminal mischief occurred April 6 on Trout Run Road in Shawville. During the incident, someone allegedly entered the victim’s property and caused damage to the passenger’s side of his truck. Damage allegedly consisted of that to scratching of the door panel and prying a side window, which broke a latch. • An incident of criminal mischief occurred Sunday on the Allport Cutoff in Graham Township. During the incident, someone allegedly damaged the driver’s side mirror and turn signal on a Morrisdale woman’s vehicle; they also snapped the passenger’s side windshield wiper off of a Woodland man’s vehicle. • An incident of criminal mischief occurred Sunday on the Allport Cutoff in Graham Township. During the incident, someone allegedly put a deep scratch on the passenger’s side door and another on the driver’s side quarter panel, as well as damaged the turn signal of a Philipsburg woman’s vehicle. They also allegedly ripped off the passenger’s side door handle, antenna and fuel cap from a Morrisdale man’s vehicle. State police at DuBois

• An incident of burglary/theft occurred Saturday on Ponderosa Drive in Huston Township. During the incident, someone allegedly entered the victim’s residence and removed several household items.
• An incident of criminal mischief occurred sometime Friday or Saturday at Dave’s Exxon in Penfield. During the incident, someone allegedly threw a rock into the front window, breaking it before fleeing the scene. Anyone with information is asked to contact the state police at DuBois at 814-371-4652.
• On Sunday, a 24-year-old Reynoldsville man allegedly discharged a pistol toward his neighbor’s residence while intoxicated on Winslow Road in Winslow Township. The incident remains under investigation at this time, state police said.
• An incident of retail theft occurred Saturday at the Dollar General Store in Winslow Township. The incident remains under investigation at this time, and appropriate charges will be filed against known suspects through the district court, state police said.
• An incident of DUI occurred Saturday on U.S. Route 322 in Winslow Township. Further, a known male was stopped for a traffic violation and was suspected of driving under the influence. He was subsequently taken into custody, and charges are currently pending at this time, state police said.
• An incident of theft occurred Saturday on State Game Lands off of Bliss Road in Snyder Township. During the incident, someone allegedly stole the victim’s game camera and ground blind. The incident remains under investigation, and anyone with information is asked to contact state police at DuBois at 814-371-4652.
• An incident of theft occurred March 26 at Sheetz on the William Penn Highway in Smithfield Township, Huntingdon County. Further, a Reynoldsville man advised state police that while working at Sheetz, his coat was stolen from the store. The incident remains under investigation and anyone with information is asked to contact the state police at DuBois at 814-371-4652.

State police at Philipsburg

• An incident of criminal mischief occurred sometime Friday or Saturday on Guenot Lane in Huston Township. During the incident, someone allegedly threw nails into the victim’s driveway. Anyone with information is asked to contact the state police at Philipsburg at 814-342-3370.
• An accident occurred on the Port Matilda Highway on Monday in Rush Township. Danielle M. Nartatez of Philipsburg was traveling west when she lost control of her vehicle while negotiating a left-hand curve. Her vehicle exited the north berm and impacted an embankment; it then overturned and landed back on its wheels. The Nartatez vehicle continued to travel west and impacted a tree before coming to a final rest. Nartatez wasn’t injured and was wearing her seatbelt; she was cited for the accident, state police said.

State police at Ridgway

• An incident of DUI occurred Saturday at the intersection of Railroad and South Michael streets in St. Marys. During a traffic stop, a 45-year-old Ridgway man was determined to be under the influence of alcohol. Charges are currently pending blood/alcohol test results, state police said.

Clearfield Borough

• Police received an animal complaint along River Road. Further, police referred the information to animal control.
• Police issued a parking ticket for a violation along the 200 block of East Market Street.
• Police assisted the fire department with a report about smoke filling up a basement at a residence along Hannah Street.
• Police arrested a female for public intoxication after she was allegedly observed staggering along South Second Street. She was found to be under the influence of alcohol and transported to the Clearfield County Jail.
• Police received a report about an alleged disturbance at a Bigler Avenue residence. Upon arrival police found that the actor had fled the scene, and the residents did not want to pursue charges against them.
• Police apprehended a male along Bigler Avenue who was found to have an active arrest warrant. A friend was able to provide the amount due to satisfy the warrant, police said.
• Police received a report about a hit-and-run accident on Zimmerman Avenue. Police located the actor’s vehicle and then spoke to the individual gathering the needed information.
• Police arrested a male after he was allegedly found to be in violation of a Protection from Abuse order. He was transported to the jail.
• Police received a report about a Daisy Street resident who was allegedly receiving unwanted phone calls and text messages. Police contacted the actor and advised him of the complaint and to cease contact.
• Police received a report about a disabled vehicle along River Road.
• Police responded to Cemetery Road for a possible break-in. Upon arrival police found a realtor lock lying on the ground.  However, there wasn’t any entry made as police checked the residence.
• Police were dispatched to Linden Street for individuals who were allegedly ringing doorbells and running off. Police searched the area and located a group of individuals who fled from them.
• Police responded to High Street for an intoxicated person who was allegedly causing a problem at his residence. Police were able to speak to the male and calm him down.

Lawrence Township

• Police received a report about a psychological emergency in the area of Putty Road.
• Police received a driving complaint that occurred at the Target Square.
• Police received a report about alleged domestic issues.
• Police received a report about a tractor-trailer hitting the Railroad Bridge on River Road.
• Police received a report about an alleged incident of vandalism in the Nelson Road area.
• Police received a report about a found registration plate for a trailer.
• Police received a report about an alleged phone scam in which the caller claimed the victim owed money to them. Police would like to encourage residents not to provide any personal information without verification.
• Police received a report about another alleged phone scam.
• Police received a report about an alleged incident of vandalism that occurred at the PA Mountain Speedway. During the incident, someone allegedly smashed out several windows to a trailer located at the speedway.
• Police received a report about a 31-year-old Clearfield woman who was struck by a vehicle on Firetower Road. She was transported to the hospital by private vehicle with minor injuries, police said. Police have a suspect and charges will be filed as a result.
• Police received a report about a suspicious vehicle along Old Penfield Road and Square Timbers Lane. However, the vehicle was gone prior to police arrival.
• Police received a report about an alleged incident of disorderly conduct involving a woman screaming in the Glen Richey area. Upon arrival police searched the area but couldn’t locate anyone.
• Police received a noise complaint that occurred on Baney Road.
• Police responded to the Wal-Mart Supercenter where children were allegedly not in proper child safety seats in an older truck. Upon arrival police checked the area but couldn’t locate anyone.
• Police were assisted by the state police at Punxsutawney with a warrant on a 34-year-old male. The male was picked up by state police who found he had warrants from 2004 through the township police. The male was subsequently taken to the jail.
• Police received a report about an alarm at a local business. Upon arrival police found everything to be OK.
• Police received a report about a suspicious vehicle at the Recreational Park.
• Police received a report about an alarm at a local business.
• Police received a report about a civil property dispute.
• Police received a report about an alleged incident of harassment.
• Police received a report about an alleged incident of road rage.
• Police received a report about an alleged incident of trespassing at a local motel on South Second Street. Police said the suspect was known by tenants and charges were filed as a result of the incident.
• Police received a report about an alleged incident of criminal mischief.
• Police received a report about a suspicious vehicle at a local motel.
• Police received a civil complaint at a business on Route 879.

Curwensville Borough

• Police received a report about alleged damage to a blue Ford truck while it was parked on Meadow Street on Thursday.
• Police received a report about a minor accident that occurred Friday on State Street. Further, a motorist pulled into a parking space and impacted a parked vehicle, causing minor damage.
• Police received a report about speeding vehicles on Windy Hill Road. Police would like to remind motorists that the speed limit is 25 miles per hour and police will provide extra patrols in the area.

Sandy Township

• On Friday, police received a report about a pit bull that had gotten into the basement of a South Brady Street residence. The dog was taken into custody and transported to the kennel, police said.
• On Friday, employees of Sears reported that a group of juveniles was in the DuBois Mall parking lot. The juveniles refused to leave when asked to by employees.  Police handled the situation without incident.
• A Liddle Road resident reported that her black lab and golden retriever had gotten loose from her residence on Friday.
• A Dixon Avenue man reported his Alaskan Malamute had gotten loose from his residence on Saturday.
• Police received a report about a false alarm at a Treasure Lake residence on Saturday.
• A 50-year-old Treasure Lake woman ran into a guiderail, seriously damaging her vehicle on Saturday. The woman admitted that she had been drinking, and after failing field sobriety testing, she was transported to Penn Highlands for a legal blood draw. Charges are currently pending at this time, police said.
• On Sunday, a 24-year-old Nelson Nursery Lane resident lost control of his vehicle, which exited off of South Main Street, and came to rest against a tree. The man was able to get out of the vehicle and was at a residence upon police arrival.  The man admitted he had been drinking and lost control of the vehicle.  He was transported to Penn Highlands for injuries sustained in the accident and a legal blood draw.  Charges are currently pending at this time, police said.
• After leaving the Eagles in Falls Creek on Sunday, a 41-year-old woman ran her car into the swamp area off of Miller Brothers parking lot. She was allegedly trying to chase her 53-year-old boyfriend who had started walking after they engaged in a fight. The vehicle was pulled from the swamp and driven from the scene, police said.
• A West Long Avenue resident reported a group of juveniles was in the area with a BB gun on Sunday. The man thought the kids had shot a duck, police said.  Upon arrival police could not locate the juveniles.
• Police received a report about a male who was allegedly grabbing and pushing a female in the parking lot of PNC Bank. Upon arrival police located the two who were standing near a truck in the parking lot.  Police determined it to be a father and daughter who got into a disagreement. Police handled the situation without incident.
