PHILIPSBURG – April is “National Child Abuse Prevention Month.” CenClear would like to invite all of its program families and the community to its first-ever Spank-Out Carnival.
This event will take place April 25 from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. at the main office in Philipsburg (1633 Philipsburg-Bigler Hwy., U.S. Route 322 East), next to True-Value. In the event of rain, the carnival will be moved inside the office building.
There will be games, door prizes, giveaways and free food and refreshments. There will also be a special visit from the Ice Princesses and Snowman.
Parents are invited to take part in a brief informational training on the effects of corporal punishment and techniques on positive discipline.
This is an agency-wide event and there will be other human service agencies present to provide information. Families will also have a chance to enroll in one of the many preschool programs.
