Gunmen stormed a provincial attorney general’s office in northern Afghanistan on Thursday, killing at least 10 people, police said.
The four armed assailants who launched the attack on the attorney general’s office in Mazar-e Sharif were also killed. Three of them were wearing Afghan police uniforms, according to Abdul Razeq Qaderi, acting police chief of Balkh province.
Taliban spokesman Zabiullah Mujahid claimed responsibility for the attack on behalf of the group.
Two police officers and a security guard of the provincial attorney general’s office were among the dead.
