State police at DuBois
- An incident of simple assault/harassment occurred March 30 on Helvetia Road in Brady Township. During the incident, a 51-year-old Luthersburg man allegedly pushed, shoved and struck the victim with his knees, causing injury. Charges were filed through the district court, state police said.
Clearfield Borough
- Police responded to a parking complaint along North Fourth Street. Upon arrival police were unable to find a violation.
- Police have initiated an investigation into an alleged theft incident that occurred at the Clearfield YMCA. During the incident, someone allegedly removed cell phones and money from the men’s locker room.
- Police responded to an alleged altercation between a mother and a daughter at a residence along Bigler Avenue. Police determined that it was verbal in nature.
- Police responded to a 911 hang-up call along Reed Street. Upon arrival police determined that two females had engaged in an argument over a civil issue at the residence. Police advised the females of their options.
- Police received a report about an alleged retail theft from a local business. During the incident, two juveniles allegedly entered the store and removed items without paying for them. The incident remains under investigation at this time, police said.
- Police responded to East Market Street for a disabled vehicle. Police assisted the female with getting her vehicle off of the roadway.
- Police received a report about an alleged disturbance on Reed Street. During the incident, a female was allegedly banging and yelling at another apartment door. Police responded and handled the situation at the scene.
- Police receive a report about a female who was allegedly being harassed via text-messaging. Police made contact with the actor to advise him of the complaint.
- Police fingerprinted an individual for employment purposes.
- Police assisted Lawrence Township police with serving an emergency Protection from Abuse order on a Clearfield resident.
- Police were dispatched to the area of East Eighth Street for a possible impaired driver. Police searched the area and located the vehicle in question. Police determined that its driver wasn’t impaired, however.
- Police had a bicycle turned into them when it was found in Witmer Park.
- Police were called to the area of the Clearfield County Courthouse, where sheriff deputies witnessed a male attempt to get into a county-issued vehicle. Police arrived at the scene and determined the male needed medical attention.
- Police have initiated an investigation into several bad checks that were passed at a local grocery store.
- Police received a report about a vehicle that was allegedly damaged by a sharp object while it was in the parking lot on East Locust and North Third streets. The vehicle, police said, sustained a large key mark on the driver’s side area. Anyone with information is asked to contact police.
- Police were called to assist with an overdose patient along North Front Street. Police arrived at the scene and assisted with getting the male to the hospital for treatment.
- Police received a report about an alleged incident of harassment in which a female was receiving unwanted text messages and phone calls from another female.
- Police responded to Sheetz for an alleged disorderly female. Police handled the incident at the scene.
Lawrence Township
- Police received a report about a suspicious person on Old Penfield Road.
- Police received a report about a phone scam.
- Police received a report about a woman who was allegedly intoxicated and passed out on a bench at the Clearfield Mall. Upon arrival police located a 61-year-old New Jersey woman who was highly intoxicated; she was placed in the Clearfield County Jail.
- Police received a report about an alleged domestic disturbance on Lawrence Avenue in Hyde. Further, police took two individuals into custody on a probation violation. Charges were filed for simple assault and harassment, police said.
- Police were requested to check the welfare of an individual on South Second Street. Police located the female and determined she was experiencing medical issues. The female, police said, was transported to the hospital by ambulance.
