CLEARFIELD – A 911 call just before 11 a.m. today has led officials to the body of a missing Clearfield man, according to Jeremy Ruffner, Clearfield County 911 coordinator.
James Coons, 74, of Clearfield was originally reported missing March 12 after he left his home for a walk. Crews have conducted several searches of the West Branch of the Susquehanna River and the surrounding area over the past few weeks.
At 10:46 a.m. today, Clearfield County 911 received a call reporting that a body was discovered in the West Branch of the Susquehanna River. The body was recovered and identified as Coons, said Ruffner.
