State police at Clearfield
- An incident of burglary, criminal trespass and theft by unlawful taking occurred Saturday on Coons Road in Goshen Township. During the incident, someone allegedly entered a barn and removed a wooden, chest-style tool box. Anyone with information about the incident is asked to contact state police at Clearfield at 814-857-3800.
- Dogs were found Sunday in a remote area of Calvary Road in Pike Township. Further, one Rottweiler and two full-size Pinchers were taken to the Clearfield County SPCA; the owner should contact the SPCA at 814-765-2220 or the state police at Clearfield at 814-857-3800 to claim the dogs.
- An incident of DUI occurred on state Route 453 in Knox Township. During the incident, a known 50-year-old man was stopped and placed under arrest for DUI. The incident remains under investigation at this time, state police said.
- An incident of criminal mischief occurred Sunday on Troy Hill Road in Morris Township. During the incident, someone allegedly damaged the victim’s rear motorcycle tire with a sharp object. The incident remains under investigation, and anyone with information is asked to contact state police at Clearfield at 814-857-3800.
State police at DuBois
- An incident of retail theft occurred Friday at the Dollar General Store in Winslow Township. During the incident, a known suspect allegedly took unlawful possession of merchandise by sticking it in her purse/shoulder bag. The incident remains under investigation at this time, state police said.
- An Act 64 violation occurred Saturday on Interstate 80 in Washington Township. During the incident, a 31-year-old Euclid, Ohio woman was allegedly found to be in possession of a small amount of marijuana during a traffic stop.
- An incident of DUI occurred Saturday on SR 830 in Washington Township. During the incident, a 24-year-old Brockway man was allegedly stopped for several traffic violations, at which point state police detected a strong odor of alcohol on his breath. The man was subsequently arrested and charges are currently pending blood test results, state police said.
- An incident of assault/reckless endangerment occurred March 24 on Beechton Road in Snyder Township. During the incident, a 45-year-old Brockway woman allegedly held a handgun to the victim’s head and threatened to shoot him after a verbal dispute. The woman was subsequently taken into custody and lodged in the Jefferson County Jail; charges were filed against her through the district court, state police said.
- A two-vehicle accident occurred March 31 on Beaver Drive in DuBois City. Tobian S. McDowell of Rockton was traveling east. At the same time, Casey G. Doherty of DuBois was responding to an incident; he activated his lights to overtake the McDowell vehicle on its left side. Doherty crossed into the oncoming lane in an attempt to pass the McDowell vehicle. However, McDowell attempted to turn left and impacted the Doherty vehicle in the 3 o’clock position. The Doherty vehicle was forced off the roadway and into a swampy area; the McDowell vehicle came to a rest in the westbound lane. Both vehicles sustained disabling damage and were towed from the scene; no injuries were reported as a result of the accident, state police said.
- An accident Sunday occurred on Airport Road in Washington Township. Further, a DuBois woman was traveling east when she lost control of her vehicle and wrecked. She allegedly left the scene on foot.
State police at Philipsburg
- On Friday, a blue Schwinn Sidewinder bicycle was found behind Minit Mart in Philipsburg Borough. Anyone with information is asked to contact the state police at Philipsburg at 814-342-3370.
- A DUI-related accident occurred Friday on U.S. Route 322 in the area of the Rush/Worth Township line. Further, a 38-year-old Philipsburg man’s vehicle allegedly flipped onto its side when he failed to negotiate the S-turns. He was arrested for suspected DUI/drugs and transported to the state police barracks for a drug influence evaluation. He was subsequently charged and lodged in the Centre County Jail on a probation violation and the DUI incident.
State police at Ridgway
- The investigation is continuing into the natural death of a 55-year-old Ridgway man that occurred Friday in Horton Township. There aren’t any suspicious circumstances, state police said.
- An incident of public drunkenness occurred Friday on the Bennetts Valley Highway in Jay Township. During the incident, a 59-year-old Weedville man was allegedly observed in a visibility intoxicated state. He was placed under arrest and issued a non-traffic citation, state police said.
- On Saturday, a 39-year-old Ridgway man was taken into custody after he allegedly attempted to contact a subject of a Protection from Abuse order. He was arraigned with his bail set at $1,000 straight. The man was unable to post bail and lodged in the Elk County Prison.
- A single-vehicle accident occurred Friday on Toby Road in Fox Township. Christina A. Bennett of Kersey was traveling west when she lost control of her vehicle; it exited the right side of the roadway. Her vehicle then traveled several hundred feet and impacted several mailboxes before coming to a rest upon striking an embankment. Bennett sustained moderate injuries and was taken to Penn Highlands Elk. Bennett was cited for the accident.
Clearfield Borough
- Police received a complaint involving a male who gave money to a friend and was never paid back. Police advised that it was a civil matter and to seek legal action.
- Police received a report about an alleged incident of harassment by communications. The incident remains under investigation at this time, police said.
- Police received a report about a dog that was on a roof along Merrill Street. The owner was advised of the complaint and told police that the dog begs to go out there. However, he told police that he wouldn’t let his dog sleep on the roof anymore.
- Police received a reckless driving complaint. The vehicle was gone upon police arrival.
- Police responded to a hit-and-run accident on South Fifth Street, where the operator of a gold-colored van backed into a Jeep. Anyone with information is asked to contact police.
- Police responded to a vehicle lockout on West Pine Street. Police were able to gain entry without causing damage.
- Police responded to East Nine Street, where a suspicious person was allegedly walking around houses. Police searched the area with negative contact.
- Police responded to a South Second Street address for a vehicle accident in which a tenet backed a trailer into the landlord’s garage.
- Police responded to a welfare check along Clearfield Street. The occupant was found to be OK, police said.
- Police responded to a male who was found lying along Ulrich Avenue; he was also bleeding from the head. Upon arrival the male told police that he had fallen down. Emergency personnel transported the male to the hospital.
- Police responded to an unwanted male at a residence along East Seventh Street. The male was gone upon police arrival.
- Police responded to an alleged domestic situation on Spruce Street. Upon arrival police heard an altercation taking place inside the residence. As a result, police said a male who was involved in this incident was found to have an active warrant for his arrest for failure to report changes regarding his Megan’s Law status. The male was transported to the Clearfield County Jail on the warrant.
- Police responded to the area of North Fifth Street for a motorist who was allegedly speeding there. Police patrolled the area and did not observe any violations.
 Lawrence Township
- Police received a report about a fight in progress at a local motel. Upon arrival police found two brothers were allegedly engaged in an argument because one was intoxicated and wanted to leave the motel. Before police arrival, one had already left the scene in a vehicle and police searched the area for an intoxicated driver but had negative contact.
- Police received a report about a female who was allegedly upset at a local establishment. Further, police said the female allegedly became upset with the bartender, began to yell and to cause a disturbance. When en route to the scene, police were advised the female had left; police were unable to locate the female.
- Police were requested to assist Clearfield Emergency Medical Services at a residence along Hill Street. However, police were cancelled while en route to the scene.
- Police received a report about a hit-and-run accident at Fun Central.
- Police received a parking complaint that occurred in Glen Richey. Police contacted the owner who moved the vehicle.
- Police received a report about an alleged domestic dispute on Robinson Avenue in Hyde.
- Police received a report about suspicious persons on Daisy Street Extension. However, the persons were gone upon police arrival in the area.
- Police responded to an activated alarm at the Hyde Wesleyan Church. However, Police were cancelled while en route to the church.
- Police responded to and cleared a traffic hazard on Guelich Avenue.
- Police received a report about a road rage incident along Route 879. The suspect vehicle, however, was gone upon police arrival.
- Police received a report about a motor vehicle accident involving a deer on Daisy Street Extension. No injuries were reported, police said.
- Police received a report about a suspicious person.
DuBois City
- On Friday, police arrested Fugitive of the Week, Brittany Ross, who had charges of burglary against her. Police received a tip about the whereabouts of Ross, and she was apprehended without incident.
- Police received a report about a dispute involving two roommates that occurred Saturday in the 200 block of South Brady Street. Their argument, police said, was over who should be living in the residence; police advised them to handle it through a civil process.
- On Sunday, a Honda Civic was struck while it was parked in the 300 block of South Main Street. The suspect vehicle fled the scene; the investigation is ongoing, police said.
- Police received a report about an alleged domestic dispute Sunday in the 100 block of Robinson Street. A woman who was involved was transported for treatment of alleged injuries, police said, adding the incident remains under investigation at this time.
- A 38-year-old DuBois man was arrested Sunday for public drunkenness after he was allegedly told by police not to leave his residence due to his level of intoxication during a prior incident. The man, police said, was seen staggering down West Long Avenue; he was arrested and lodged in the Clearfield County Jail.
- A 17-year-old juvenile allegedly assaulted another juvenile and staff at the Pentz Run Youth Center on Sunday. She was arrested and taken to a detention center by Clearfield County Juvenile Probation.
- Police were requested to check on the welfare of a man who was lying in a parking lot Monday on Liberty Boulevard. Police were then advised he was stumbling down the sidewalk. Police located him and determined he was intoxicated; he was arrested for public drunkenness.
- Police received a report about an alarm Monday at the Social Security Office. Upon arrival police found everything to be OK.
Sandy Township
- A 33-year-old Brockport woman swerved to miss a deer while traveling Friday on Coral Reef Road, driving up an embankment and hitting a cement culvert. No injuries were reported and the vehicle was towed from the scene, police said.
- On Friday, police received a report about trash being dumped on Mapledale Road. Pieces of mail were found in the trash, and police located the 24-year-old DuBois man who allegedly dumped the trash. He admitted to dumping trash in several areas. The incident remains under investigation at this time, police said.
- A vehicle driven by a 17-year-old Grampian boy pulled from East Maloney Road into the path of a dump truck driven by a 20-year-old Frenchville man, causing the two to collide Friday. No injuries and moderate damage were reported, police said.
- On Friday, a vehicle owned by a 51-year-old Reynoldsville woman was hit by a vehicle driven by a 20-year-old Brookville woman who then left the scene. Police located the offending driver who did not have a driver’s license and told police she didn’t think she had to stop. Charges were filed as a result, police said.
- A woman called police after her grandson called her stating his mom and dad were fighting on Friday. Police responded to the Quarry Avenue residence, and located the 35-year-old man and his 34-year-old wife who both reported they were arguing and the argument never got physical. Police handled the situation without incident.
- On Friday, a 54-year-old South Eighth Street resident reported the people in the apartment were making too much noise. Police handled the situation without incident.
- Police received a report about a false alarm at Dunham’s on Friday.
- A Basil Rock Court man reported his neighbor was revving his motorcycle and riding it fast up and down the street on Saturday.
- A 30-year-old DuBois woman was cited for careless driving and having an open container. She was pulled over after allegedly failing to yield to the right of way while coming off Slab Run Road onto Rich Highway on Saturday.
- On Sunday, a vehicle driven by a 67-year-old Clearfield man hit a vehicle while pulling out of a parking space in the Commons parking lot when the 45-year-old DuBois man opened his car door. Minor damage and no injuries were reported, police said.
- A 20-year-old DuBois man reported being harassed by a Basil Rock Court man while he was at his girlfriend’s Treasure Lake residence on Sunday. The incident remains under investigation at this time, police said.
- A 47-year-old Grampian woman reported hitting a tree in the parking lot of DuBois Nursing Home, causing disabling damage to her vehicle on Sunday.
