CLEARFIELD – The month of May has been designated nationally as Mental Health Awareness Month.
In order to bring attention to the seriousness of mental health and how it affects those diagnosed, as well as their family and friends, Skills Psychiatric Rehabilitation Program will be conducting a series of events throughout the month.
The month schedule of events is as follows:
- May 1-31: The “Pieces of Hope” art exhibit will be on display at the Joseph & Elizabeth Shaw Public Library.
- Thursday, May 7 at 4 p.m.: A Candlelight Vigil will be held at Lower Witmer Park in Clearfield. In case of rain, the vigil will be held at the Shaw Library. Refreshments will be served.
- May 28 at 6 p.m.: A reception will be held at the Shaw Library to honor the “Pieces of Hope” art display. Awards will be presented and there will be refreshments served.
