Gertrude “Arlene” Sidelinger, 78, of DuBois and formerly of Sabula, died Monday, March 30, 2015 at the DuBois Nursing Home.
Born Nov. 27, 1936 in DuBois, she was the daughter of the late Sheridan R. and Mary G. (Conrad) Solada.
On July 21, 1956, she married Harold “Wayne” Sidelinger. He preceded her in death on Oct. 28, 2003.
She retired from the Brockway Glass Company after 30 years of service.
She was Methodist by faith. She enjoyed crocheting and crafts and playing Bingo; most of all, she loved being with her family.
She is survived by her children, Charles H. Sidelinger and his wife, Patty of Morrison, Colo., Mary L. Harvey and her husband, David of DuBois and Chuck H. Sidelinger Jr. of Sabula; a brother, Sheridan Solada of Sabula; five grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two sisters, Lauretta Conrad and Shelda Wagner and two brothers, Everett and Gail Solada.
Friends will be received from 5 p.m. – 7 p.m. Thursday at the Goble-Baronick Funeral Home.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home with Pastor Kevin Orndorff officiating.
Burial will be in Morningside Cemetery.
