State police at Clearfield
- An incident of disorderly conduct occurred Tuesday on Interstate 80 westbound in Bradford Township. During the incident, a 62-year-old Trilla, Ill., man allegedly parked his vehicle on the white line of I-80, causing a traffic hazard to confront the trooper about a traffic citation. State police alleged the man not only put his life in danger, but that of others, as well. The man was cited for the incident through the district court, state police said.
- An accident occurred Tuesday on the Frenchville – Karthaus Highway in Karthaus Township. Robert E. Huff Jr. of Karthaus was traveling east when he lost control of his vehicle. It crossed into the westbound lane and impacted the guiderail along the left-hand side of the roadway. Huff was wearing his seatbelt at the time of the accident; he was cited for a traffic violation, state police said.
- An incident of harassment/assault occurred Tuesday on Church Street in Morris Township. During the incident, a 42-year-old Morrisdale woman allegedly struck the victim in the right arm, causing minor injury. Charges were filed against the woman through the district court, state police said.
Lawrence Township
- Police received a report about an alleged trespassing incident in the Glen Richey area.
- Police received a report about the alleged theft of medication in the Hyde area.
- Police responded to a motor vehicle accident on U.S. Route 322 in Golden Rod. No injuries were reported and one vehicle was towed from the scene, police said.
- Police responded to a traffic complaint in the Hyde area, where two vehicles were allegedly racing. The vehicles were gone upon police arrival to the area.
- Police received a report about an alleged incident of harassment at the Wal-Mart Supercenter.
- Police assisted Clearfield police with an alleged domestic dispute along Leavy Avenue.
DuBois City
- Police received a report about a child wandering around the parking lot Monday at Penn Highlands DuBois (West). Upon arrival police found the child had been reunited with his family. Police also found the child had been napping in the car and with his grandparents who also fell asleep. When the child woke up, he left the vehicle to find his mother without his grandparents knowing about it. No charges were filed as a result of the incident, police said.
- A two-vehicle accident occurred Tuesday in the 400 block of West Weber Avenue. A vehicle operated by a 37-year-old Clearfield man reportedly struck a parked vehicle. No injuries were reported as a result of the accident, and the man’s vehicle was towed from the scene; the man was cited for the accident, police said.
- Police received a report about a man who claimed to be with an Altoona construction company going door-to-door in the 300 block of Olive Avenue on Tuesday. The caller told police the man was acting suspicious and trying to solicit work for his business. Police checked the area but were unable to locate the man.
- Police received a report about an employee who had been terminated and created a problem Tuesday at a business in the 100 block of Tom Mix Drive. Upon arrival police said the man left the business to wait for his transportation. No charges were filed as a result of the incident, police said.
- Police received a report about an alleged domestic dispute involving a 66-year-old man and his 66-year-old wife Tuesday in the first block of Nathan Court. Police said that the couple had experienced ongoing issues and argued over pets; the woman believed her safety was in danger and left with her pets. No charges were filed as a result of the incident, police said.
- Police received a report about an activated alarm Tuesday at Farmers National Bank on Beaver Drive. Upon arrival police found everything to be OK.
Sandy Township
- Police received a report about a loud television Monday on Circle Road. The situation was handled without incident, police said.
- A 19-year-old swerved to miss a deer Tuesday on Behringer Highway, skidded across the opposite lane and traveled over an embankment. The vehicle was pulled up over the bank and driven from the scene; no injuries were reported as a result, police said.
- Police received a report about a false alarm Tuesday at Big Lots.
