Laurinda J. Neilson, 74, of DuBois died Monday, March 30, 2015 at the DuBois Nursing Home.
Born Nov. 20, 1940 in Lyons, NY, she was the daughter of the late Howard and Marie (Donnely) Schmuck.
On Feb. 20, 1960, she married George T. Neilson. He survives.
Mrs. Neilson was a homemaker.
She was a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses in DuBois.
She is survived by four children Callie Alta Lynch and her husband, Patrick of the Island of Siapan, Heidi Marie Holtz and her husband, Rodney of Mundy’s Corner, Jorja Yasovsky and her husband, David of Bellefonte and Paul E. Neilson and his wife, Yvonne of St. Marys; a sister, Ethel Barcus of Upland, Calif.; eight grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two sisters, Virginia Fredino and Janet Sanchez and one grandchild.
There will be no public visitation.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, April 11 at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, located at 403 Patterson Ave. in DuBois, with Elder Peter Horm officiating.
Memorials may be sent to the charity of the donor’s choice.
