State police at Clearfield
- An incident of theft occurred March 24 along the Bigler – Philipsburg Highway in West Decatur. During the incident, someone allegedly removed $50 that belonged to the victim. Anyone with information about the incident is asked to contact the state police at Clearfield at 814-857-3800.
- An incident of DUI occurred Sunday on state Route 53 south in Morris Township. During the incident, a 24-year-old Philipsburg man was allegedly operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol. Charges will be filed through the district court, state police said.
- An incident of criminal mischief occurred Saturday on Pruner Street in Osceola Mills. During the incident, someone allegedly broke the rear window of a red Toyota Tacoma pick-up truck belonging to the victim; it was parked along Pruner Street adjacent to the Osceola Mills Fire Company. Anyone with information is asked to contact the state police at Clearfield at 814-857-3800.
- An incident of theft by unlawful taking occurred sometime March 26-27 on Zion Road in Olanta. During the incident, someone allegedly removed two buckets and 16 spouts with tubing used for maple syrup purposes. - On Friday, state police received information that a 24-year-old Curwensville man was allegedly in possession of drug paraphernalia on Grandview Road in Curwensville. Upon arrival state police found he was in possession of a black case containing a syringe and spoon with burn markings on the bottom and melted, white residue on top. The man was found to be on probation and charged with possession of drug paraphernalia through the district court, state police said.
- An incident of harassment occurred March 25 on State Street in Curwensville. During the incident, two known juveniles allegedly became involved in an argument, which led to one striking the other. The actor was cited for harassment, state police said.
- An incident of theft by unlawful taking occurred Saturday on Brisbin Street in Houtzdale Borough. During the incident, someone allegedly stole four tablets of Morphine Sulfate that was prescribed to the victim; the tablets were valued at $15, state police said. The incident remains under investigation, and anyone with information is asked to contact the state police at Clearfield at 814-857-3800.
State police at DuBois
- An incident of DUI occurred Saturday on Main Street in Reynoldsville Borough. During the incident, a 49-year-old Reynoldsville woman was allegedly stopped for an equipment violation and determined to be driving under the influence. She was subsequently taken into custody and charges are pending through the district court, state police said.
- On March 24, a 23-year-old Brockway man was allegedly found in possession of a glass marijuana pipe on Empire Ridge Road in Snyder Township. The incident remains under investigation with charges pending at this time, state police said. Anyone with information is asked to contact the state police at DuBois at 814-371-4652.
State police at Philipsburg
- An incident of identity theft occurred March 20 on Brentwood Drive in Rush Township. During the incident, someone allegedly filed tax returns using the victim’s personal information.
- An incident of harassment occurred Friday at the Port Matilda Hotel. During the incident, a 33-year-old Port Matilda woman allegedly approached the victim in the bar, struck him in the face and knocked his glass of beer from his hand. Charges have been filed through the district court, state police said.
- On Saturday, a 28-year-old State College man was stopped for a traffic violation on Interstate 99 in Patton Township. Upon further investigation, he was allegedly found to have an outstanding warrant and to be in possession of several heroin packets and items of drug paraphernalia.
Clearfield Borough
- Police responded to a minor accident on North Second Street. Upon arrival police found that a vehicle struck a side mirror on another vehicle. The operator stopped and provided the necessary information, police said.
- Police were requested to check the welfare of a male who was seen being dragged into a residence along North Front Street. Upon arrival police made contact with individuals who were assisting the male into the residence due to feeling ill.
- Police fingerprinted an individual for proper employment clearances.
- Police received a report about an alleged incident of harassment from a Leavy Avenue resident. The victim told police that she was being harassed by phone. Police were able to speak to both parties and resolve the issue.
- A female arrived at the police department asking for mental health assistance. Police were able to notify the proper agencies to assist the female.
- Police were notified about a runaway male juvenile. The juvenile returned home the next day, police said.
- Police arrested a female for retail theft after staff allegedly observed her removing items from a local store.
- Police stopped a vehicle along South Second Street after the operator was allegedly observed passing another vehicle in a “no passing” zone.
- Police were dispatched to Fulton Street for a female who was reportedly walking around and seeming to be confused. Police located the female while family was arriving at the scene.
- Police assisted Dubois City police with taking a Clearfield resident into custody on a protection from abuse order violation.
- Police arrested a female for public drunkenness and disorderly conduct after she was allegedly found to be on the sidewalk face down. She then allegedly became combative with police and was taken to the Clearfield County Jail.
- Police were called to assist an individual with gaining entry into her residence after they had locked themselves out.
- Police were dispatched to an alleged domestic situation along Leavy Avenue.
- Police are investigating an alleged incident of disorderly conduct that occurred along North Third Street.
- Police arrested a male along Smith Street who was wanted on an active warrant. The male was taken to the CCJ on the warrant, police said.
DuBois City
- Police received a report about an alleged domestic disturbance Friday in the 300 block of South Brady Street. During the incident, a 34-year-old DuBois woman and a 25-year-old DuBois man argued over their relationship. Upon arrival police separated the couple. Neither sustained injuries; both went their separate ways, police said.
- On Friday police were at a local business in the 100 block of North Brady Street, where a male appeared to be in need of medical attention. After speaking to him, police requested emergency personal to assist and provide care. The male was later transported to the hospital for additional treatment, police said.
- Police received a noise complaint Friday in the 300 block of West Long Avenue. Further, the caller told police second-floor tenants were making too much noise and disturbing the third floor. Upon arrival police spoke to several tenants on the third floor and there wasn’t any disturbance. The caller, police said, didn’t remain at the scene; police didn’t observe any excessive noise.
- Police received a report about an alleged fight in progress Friday on North Church Street. Upon arrival police made contact with several occupants who stated they were “goofing around” and “not really fighting.” Police warned the tenants to keep the noise down; otherwise, they’d be cited for disorderly conduct.
- Police were dispatched to an alleged disturbance Friday in the 100 block of McCullough Street. Upon arrival police spoke to family members who were arguing over child custody and other issues. Police were able to resolve the situation and facilitate a resolution for the evening.
- On Friday police were dispatched to a male who was allegedly going through cars on Robinson Street. Upon arrival at the scene, police learned a resident had observed a male who was dressed in black attempt to get into his wife’s car. When he realized he was being watched, the suspect fled the area in a vehicle. The witness wasn’t able to obtain his registration, police said, noting they checked the area through the night but were unable to locate the suspect or his vehicle.
- Police received a report about alleged loud fighting and yelling Saturday in the 100 block of West Long Avenue. Police checked the area but couldn’t locate anyone.
- Police received a report about several 911 hang-up calls in the South Brady Street area. Upon arrival police found a family member arrived at the residence and stated he needed an ambulance. Police located the family member and assisted with transport to the hospital.
- Police received a report about an alleged incident of harassment and trespassing that occurred Saturday on West Weber Avenue. Further, a resident told police that neighborhood children continue to play in her yard; she declined prosecution, saying she’d contact police if it continued on.
- On Saturday a DuBois woman alleged her ex-husband violated her Protection from Abuse order by contacting her via e-mail. Police confirmed the PFA and completed charges against the man. Clearfield Borough police assisted with taking him into custody; he was later arraigned and released on unsecured bail.
- Police received a report about an alleged domestic disturbance Saturday in the 400 block of West Spruce Alley. The caller, a 33-year-old DuBois man, alleged that his girlfriend’s 14-year-old daughter assaulted him. Upon arrival police spoke with all parties and found a resolution to the matter.
- While conducting a traffic stop Saturday, police heard an audible burglar alarm activated at a local business on DuBois Street. Police cleared the stop and responded to the scene; upon checking the perimeter, police didn’t locate a point of entry. A key holder wasn’t available and police cleared the scene.
- Police received a report about suspicious activity Sunday at a local establishment on DuBois Street. An employee alleged to police that a male was sitting outside in a vehicle, and they were unclear of his intent. Upon arrival police found the male had left the scene. Police waited for the employee to finish closing the establishment before leaving the scene.
- On Sunday a woman alleged that her 16-year-old son was assaulted while walking near North Main Street. The juvenile told police he was grabbed by the neck by a male in his 40’s. However, he said he was able to get free and struck the suspect in the head several times to knock him to the ground. The victim declined prosecution in the matter, police said.
- Police participated in the 18th annual Kids Fair at the DuBois Middle School. Police were on hand to speak with kids and parents about safety. In addition to handouts and give-a-ways, police provided child identification kits and fingerprinting.
Sandy Township
- On Friday a 46-year-old DuBois woman alleged that following being kicked out of a charitable organization, a 48-year-old Johnsonburg woman had been sending harassing text and Facebook messages regarding the group.
- A 19-year-old Home Camp Road man lost control of his vehicle Friday on Sierra Heights Road. This, police said, caused his vehicle to travel off the opposite side of the roadway and then back, hitting an embankment and a utility pole before overturning and coming to rest on its roof. No injuries were reported and the vehicle was towed from the scene, police said.
- A vehicle driven by a 35-year-old Osceola Mills man hit another driven by a 56-year-old Reynoldsville woman while both were going through the Blinker Light intersection on Friday. No injuries were reported and both vehicles were towed from the scene, police said.
- A 78-year-old Brockway man stepped on the gas pedal instead of the brake in his vehicle while at the Shop ‘N Save parking lot Saturday. This, police said, caused his vehicle to hit a pole. No injuries were reported, police said.
- A 38-year-old Sykesville man lost control of his vehicle Saturday while traveling on Sykes Street Extension, causing it to exit the roadway and get stuck in ditch. No injuries were reported and the vehicle was towed from the scene, police said.
- Treasure Lake Security reported finding an abandoned vehicle in the grass median of Coral Reef Road on Sunday. The vehicle appeared to have been involved in an accident with the driver leaving the scene, police said. Police located the 28-year-old Treasure Lake man at Snappy’s Convenience Store where he had walked after the accident. The man allegedly admitted he had been drinking; charges for public drunkenness were filed, police said.
- On Sunday a Treasure Lake woman reported hearing someone pounding on the side of her house. Upon arrival police searched the outside of the residence and could not find any sign of someone being there.
- On Sunday a 27-year-old Garden Grove woman alleged that her boyfriend had been threatening her. Police handled the situation without incident.
- A 57-year-old St. Mary’s man reported that his vehicle was hit in the DuBois Mall parking lot Sunday and then the driver left the scene. Minor damage was reported, police said.
- A 39-year-old Brockway man reported that he had parked his truck in the Murray’s Freightliner parking lot Sunday. When he returned there was damage to the hookups and the metal on the trailer. The incident remains under investigation at this time, police said.
- A 37-year-old DuBois woman and a 20-year-old Reynoldsville woman got into an altercation Sunday in the Blinker Sheetz parking lot. The altercation started out verbal and allegedly turned physical when the 37-year-old threw an iced tea on the 20-year-old. The incident remains under investigation at this time, police said.
- Police received a report about an accident at the intersection of the Bee Line Highway and Old Route 255. Police said that the driver, a 39-year-old woman, had allegedly been chasing her boyfriend who had left their Flowing Well Road residence in another vehicle. After she ran through the stop sign at Sher De Lin Road, police said she allegedly wrecked the vehicle and then fled back to her residence. Police located the woman there and she failed field sobriety tests; she was transported to Penn Highlands for a legal blood draw. Charges are currently pending at this time, police said.
