Joan F. Brown, 72, of Morrisdale died Thursday, March 26, 2015 at the Mount Nittany Medical Center, State College.
Born Dec. 21, 1942 in Port Matilda, she was the daughter of the late LeRoy and Katherine Dixon Williams.
She was a member of the Abundant Life Fellowship Church, Philipsburg.
She was married to Rodney Brown Sr. on Aug. 25, 1962 at the Church of Nazarene in Philipsburg. He survives in Morrisdale.
Mrs. Brown is survived by two daughters, Robin Pilosky and her husband, Joseph of Morrisdale and Rhonda Leahy and her husband, Jack of South Carolina and two sons, Rodney Brown Jr. of North Philipsburg and Randy Brown Sr. of Wallaceton.
She is also survived by two sisters, Connie Myers of Philipsburg and Jeanie Foltz and her husband, Jim of Dillsburg; one brother, Ronald Williams and his wife, Joanne of Milesburg; 12 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Carol Ramey; a sister, Debra Meckley; and two brothers, Raymond and Richard Williams.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Abundant Life Fellowship Church, Philipsburg, with the Rev. W. Dean Krause officiating. A luncheon will follow at the church after the services.
There will not be any public visitation.
