CLEARFIELD – Friday Night Live will sponsor an “Improv Comedy Workshop” from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. April 4 at the Clearfield Arts Studio Theatre in downtown Clearfield.
It will feature Adam Litz, a Minneapolis-based improviser/comedian, who has been performing and teaching for the past 15 years.
Litz performs with the comedy team, Trust Pit, and on Saturday nights with Jesters Comedy Improv. His critically-acclaimed duo, Minnesota Snow Job, has performed at festivals all over the country.
Originally from Spring Mills, Litz began his performing career after moving to Rochester, NY, where he was one of the founding members of the GEVA Theatre Center’s improv initiative. He has taught classes for business professionals, teens, college students and experienced performers.
Pre-registration is required for the workshop and is limited to 20 people. The cost is $50 per person and is payable to the CAST. To participate in the workshop, persons must be 18 years of age or older.
The four-hour workshop will cover topics, such as comedic timing, material boundaries, knowing your audience, improv fundamentals, stage presence, dealing with stage fright, public speaking and more.
